Probably only cost 3 cents for Sony to install it. doesn't get very loud and when it is maxed out the metal speaker screen interferes with the audio quality. Lazy and cheap Chinese garbage. Avoid Sony.

We do apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, the speaker doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack. We recommend our SRS-XB43. For sound quality, the loudness as well as the sound quality of this speaker will depends on the source that you're playing and audio device that you are using. Also, take note that sound becomes low while in use when the rechargeable built-in battery is running low as a result of long-time use of the speaker at a loud volume even though the speaker was connected to an AC outlet by a USB AC adaptor.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't get me wrong. This little speaker is a decent product. Sony normally makes quality items. For its size, the sound is good. Kind of what I would expect from a smaller speaker. However I am not sure how they chose to market it as EXTRA BASS. On a scale of 1-10 the bass on this speaker ranks around 2. The mids and highs are decent, but the bass is severely lacking. We have relegated this speaker to our shower for the simple fact that its the perfect small space speaker. It sounds great in the shower...not so much in the middle of a large living room. A couple of other things to note. -It's IP67 dust/waterproof -It boasts a long 16 hour battery life. I haven't pushed it that far but assuming you keep the volume lower I could see it going that far. -It has a little strap that hooks it places. Camping, beach, shower. -You have the ability to link two speakers together to stretch your sound further. As I said the speaker sounds good for what it is. For the cost, I think it's worth it if you want a light, dustproof waterproof speaker then check this one out, just don't expect mind blowing bass.
