Maybe it's not louder but honestly don't see why I wouldn't just use my phone since only thing I seem to gain is slightly better bass. Save time and just get a bigger speaker or use your phone because this ain't it.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're sorry to hear that the SRSXB13 did not meet your expectations when it comes to the volume level. For this, the sound may become low in the following cases.
- When the built-in battery is running low and the CHARGE indicator flashes slowly, while the speaker is being powered by the built-in battery only.
- When the rechargeable built-in battery is running low as a result of long-time use of the speaker at a loud volume even though the speaker was connected to an AC outlet by a USB AC adaptor (commercially available) or to a computer that comes equipped with a USB charging port.
If the sound becomes low while in use, follow the procedure below.
- Turn off the speaker.
- Charge the built-in battery sufficiently.

Not worth the price.

(I use it when watching movies on my laptop because my laptop speakers are weak.) It's barely loud enough to fill 1 room. Would not recommend for outdoor use or workplace. Any competing noise will drown it out. You'll have to spend more money to get a good speaker.

It is really unfortunate to hear our XB13 did not live up to your expectations. The loudness as well as the sound quality of this speaker will depends on the source that you're playing and audio device that you are using. Also, take note that sound becomes low while in use when the rechargeable built-in battery is running low as a result of long-time use of the speaker at a loud volume even though the speaker was connected to an AC outlet by a USB AC adaptor.
Additionally, the SRS-XB13 can also be paired with another SRS-XB13 if you want an even bigger sound.

Great Speaker & Sound / Issues Turning Off Speaker

However the last few days it will not power off unless my phone is out of range. I deleted the speaker and then paired it again and I am still having the same problem. Not sure what to do, probably can’t return it since it was a gift and I dont have the proof of purchase.

If you continue to use the speaker without terminating the Stereo Pair function, you will have a problem, such as a failure to establish a BLUETOOTH connection or a sound interruption. To isolate the issue, try Initializing the speaker then after you initialize either of the speakers while the Stereo Pair function is activated, be sure to press the(BLUETOOTH)/ST PAIR (Stereo Pair) button on the other speaker to terminate the Stereo Pair function.
