I teach music and have pretty high expectation for sound quality, however I didn't want to spend a lot of money on ANOTHER pair of headphones. I needed a pair of Bluetooth headphones and these have pretty much fit the bill. Sound is clear and has a strong range from top to bottom. The bass range is a little exaggerated. The Bluetooth connectivity is great and has a good range. The battery life is outstanding, I've owned them 6 months and have charged the 4-5 times (I use them 3-5 hours per week on average) I carry them in my laptop bag and they've been pretty durable. My only complaint is they don't fold down to a smaller more portable size. Good headphones for the price!

These headphones are a great buy for someone who has a great appreciation for sound quality, but doesn't need "the best" of everything. The battery life so far is excellent. I don't use them every day or even every other day, but I just had to charge them for the 1st time in weeks. Even with them turned off & not in use often times, I would have thought the battery just would have drained faster (because batteries lose juice even when not in use). I like the bass boost button. I also like the ability to pause, skip tracks, etc. right from the headphones. Good range. Paired very easily with my ipad mini. The main reason I got these was the size of the over-the-ear cups. I have bigger ears & these were the only wireless headphones I found that actually fit over my ears. The reason I gave these a 4 instead of a 5 is because I know there's other headphones that produce better sound. The Beats by Dre over the ear headphones I tested were amazing, but they were the $500 ones & I'm not even sure if they were wireless. Hope this helped someone

I am a huge fan of wireless headphones and these will not disappoint. I own about 10 different wireless headphones so I have a good idea what I was looking for in these. This is the 3rd Sony brand wireless headphone. The extra bass is really extra. You may need to turn it off at times since it may overwhelm and distort certain genres. The bass great for Hip Hop and other electronic music like Dub-step. I use these for the gym for running (treadmill) and lifting weights and they never fall off. If you hate cords and love bass, these headphones are for you. The material on the outer earcups are very sturdy so it will resist scratches. The headband is very strong. The earcups extremely comfortable. If these came with a case, I would give it 5 stars. But, it would increase the price so I would keep it 5 stars anyways since it balances out.

I went to best buy and tested out headphones. This pair simply took me off guard. I was going back and forth between this and beats. Beats offer nice sound and a decent bass but the price is absurd. You are basically paying for the name brand. This pair of sony headsets really give you a nice sound just the same as beats, but i think its more bassy and offers a nice clean bass doing so. You can even get extra bass with a button. The cups are big which I like so they don't rest too much on my ears and get uncomfortable. and the padding is super comfy too. The kick to this is also $100 cheaper than Beats but I got it for $120 on a holiday sale. Same price ($120) as the wired series which was on sale for $94. It was a complete steal for me. I use it for music and my xbox one. Highly recommend this.

Bought this for the extra bass feature. If you like bass you wont be dissapointed. The sound is great fow music a movies. I like that I can use them with my ps4, with the aux cable. Bluetooth works great and the range excellent also. Also like that it connects to my apple tv without issues. Very comfortable in ears also, I've worn them up to eight hours at a time without issues. And battery life is great also. Definitely glad I got these intead of the beats or bose.

I got these during the Thanksgiving weekend for $100. At that price I would definitely recommend to a friend. The sound quality is very good and clear. The headphones are larger than most. Some may not like this feature. The cans do offer good noise cancellation. If you need extra bass for your music, you can dial these up but I feel there is plenty on the standard setting. The battery life is awesome. 20 hours can be achieved if needed. So far I have been able to connect these to one device. I don't think you can connect these to two devices unless you clear out the first Bluetooth device. I have tried to connect this to both my iPad and iPhone. I can only discover the headphones on my iPad. That is my only negative.

These are the perfect headphones for anybody looking for a rich Extra Bass thumping sound and also Bluetooth connectivity. Hooking up to my android phone was a breeze and the sound quality is fantastic ESPECIALLY in extra bass mode. I paid around $120 just before Christmas I believe Best Buy had a sale on them and they used to be either $130 or $140 I found it was a great deal since I had my eye on these already after a bit of youtube comparison research. I believe the price went back up to $200 and is a great value at $120 us and would recommend to somebody at that $120 price point, maybe even the $200 price point... long battery life, bluetooth connectivity, and great sound what more can you ask for?

Spent a lot of time researching wireless/bluetooth headphones online (message boards, youtube reviews, amazon and best buy comments). Decided these would be the best for my budget. So glad I made this purchase! The headphones are super comfortable, and have a really nice feel. The sound....WOW!! Amazing, the bass is definitely there, but not overpowering (you case disable the bass boost if desired). Every once and a while, there will be some interference for a second, and the sound will cut out for a split second (really minor issue) HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

If you're looking for great quality, loud sound, awesome bass and the freedom of wireless music this is your best choice for a good price. I wanted wireless headphones so I could work out without wires bothering me and the power beats 2 sounded like the best option WRONG! The quality, the battery life, the range almost everything about these Sony headphones beat the wireless beats don't believe try them for 2 weeks best buy has a 14 day return policy.

These were purchased for my wife. I purchased the blue ones and love headphones. I have everything from Dre Beats Studio to in ear Klipsch. Depending on what you're looking for, this is an inexpensive alternative to those. The extra bass is exactly that, you'll get good oomph when turning that function on. They can play extremely loud, which is the way I like it and what caused me to purchase a pair of my own. I like the fact that they are blue tooth and are comfortable over the ear. For the price, they are very well worth it.

they provide great sound and extra extra bass, but I wish I can turn the bass off at all. Because even when the extra bass is off you can feel it. The battery is great. They are comfortable BUT BECAUSE they are wireless you will the negative side of wireless headphones. After 30 min of using you feel kind of pressure on your neck nerves, But I bought them because you can use them with the wire for hours and not feel anything , Other wireless headphones you can not use them with the wire or only when the battery is uncharged but these work as wireless and wire headphones (By the way not all people will feel the radiation through their nerves, I do)

Fantastic sound. I couldn't take these off for days and use them exclusively now. Bass boost will blow you away, so be careful. I recommended these to a customer where I work who told me he was an audiophile junkie. He came back the next day and said he took my advice and purchased the Sony, and raved about their sound an comfort. Probably the best value on the market, even if they aren't on sale. Don't settle for anything less. I do agree with other reviewers that it would be nice to have the same controls when wired as you do using bluetooth. On the other hand, using the wire defeats the purpose of going wireless anyway.

These bluetooth capable headphones have great bass response and connectivity with multiple devices is easy. Sound quality and reception distance are also very good. I have tried the Bose Soundlink Bluetooth headphones and was disappointed with the connectivity dropouts and these headphones have not dropped out once. They are also cheaper than Bose or Beats and can be wired if audio quality (sound engineers) is a concern. The mic also let's you receive phone calls from a bluetooth capable smartphone. Earcups are comfortable and the headphones are lightweight and fold flat for transport. Very solid product in an age of over-hyped DJ phones.

While I'm not an audiophile, I like my music to sound better than the out of the box headphones, and I like freedom from wires, especially when I'm walking around. I have a pair of wired Xtra Bass headphones from Sony which I love for listening to bass-heavy music, and I wanted a wireless pair for work. These sound great. I did find the Bass Boost uncomfortable, so I've never used it besides the one time I tried it. The headphones seem to be put together pretty well, are not too heavy, and with about 2 hours of listening / phone calls per day, the battery lasts me a couple of weeks. On the whole, I'm happy with my purchase.

I use these every day. I listen to music,I can make phone calls on them and they hold a great charge. Up to 20 hours. The best thing is that they were on sale for $99 and being a Bestbuy member I was able to get 15 more dollars off of them. They come with a charge cable, a cable to listen to them when your not using the wireless feature. They also have NFC connect ability and connect to other NFC products in a snap. The sound of these headphones are great. They come with a bass boost feature that only works when using them wireless. Get these headphones, u want go wrong and if you find them for less then $200 then these are a steal.

After buying a pair of Sony's excellent MDR-1A several months ago I wanted to get my wife a really nice pair of headphones for Christmas and I chose these headphones in the RED color because she really liked my Sony's. I didn't want to spend a ton of cabbage, however, because she isn't really into music as much as I am and won't be wearing them as often. We have an autistic son who is overwhelmed by sounds at times and so headphones have become a bit of a necessity around our house and because I have so much enjoyed my MDR-1A these seemed like a very logical choice. The reviews were favorable and the fact that they were on sale for a mere $89 made this an absolutely slam dunk. I wouldn't say that these are a "Premium Level" headphone by any means but if you are looking to spend a modest amount then you could do FAR worse than to choose these headphones. The build quality doesn't give me much concern so far as being durable and I haven't noticed any of the previous squeaking sounds of prior Sony headphones, either. Constructed of most plastic, they do feature a nice metal headband as well as metal attaching the cups. The headband isn't thickly padded but it is soft and doesn't weigh heavy on the head. The cup pressure can be a bit tight on larger heads but the pads are VERY soft and extended periods of listening enjoyment are certainly of no concern. With proper adjustment I can't imagine anybody finding these to be uncomfortable. The pads will get a bit warm, to be sure, but I have encountered very few leather type pads that don't. We haven't used these a whole lot as Bluetooth headphones just yet because I have to buy a better quality Bluetooth adapter. These one that I do have came from some Dollar Store and it drops out in a very obnoxious way. I don't suspect that we will be using these with our phones and our other gadgets aren't Bluetooth enabled. My biggest concern with the included cable is that it appears to be a bit on the poor side and I will explore options. My wife was able to put our Bluetooth adapter into a different USB slot and manage. It did sound good but she was listening to mp3 on her laptop. I've listened them on my PC while connected to a portable DAC as wired using Lossless music files and these are a really nice sounding pair of headphones. These are a bass lovers dream headphone. I personally find the Bass Boost to be overbearing on most of the music that I listen to but YMMV, your tastes may be different. Probably the highest compliment that I could pay to these would be to say that I SHOULD have purchased myself a pair at the price point and should I ever see them at $89 again... I WILL.

Great set of wireless headphones with amazing battery life. They're comfortable and feel sturdy. The build quality is there and the sound is great. You can either use Bluetooth or nfc to pair with a phone. The nfc function is by far the easiest and preferred way to connect. They also come with a 3.5mm cable to connect to your phone. Included is a charging micro usb cable and some pairing instructions. So great I actually bought two pairs. Regular price is 199 so at 99 it's a steal lol

I've gone through a handful of headphones over the years, and so far, these have been the best - great sound quality, fantastic bass, and the wireless battery life lasts for several days of on/off use (about 20 hours of continuous life, and charges from 0 - Full in about 3-4 hours). Have passed them around to get friends' opinions - universally, they've been jealous (one gave them the nickname "Headcannons" because of the bass) Great headphones, if pretty pricey (but better than a lot of comparably prices "top of the line" headphones I've seen (I'm looking straight at you, Beats by Dre).
