I really like these MDRXB950BT/B headphones. I originally thought they were going to be way too big but their being so comfortable more than makes up for the size. I commute for about 1.5 hrs. a trip (3hrs. total) and they do not bother me at all. They are fairly easy to set up and use. The controls are easy to get used to and are responsive. There are hardly any disconnects or "garbled" sound when well charged. They feature pretty good (not perfect) passive noise reduction. However, I would not recommend these babies for exercising as they are bulky and will not stay on, especially if you run, jump or bend a lot. That's what wireless in-ear headphones are for in my opinion.They also seem a bit flimsy in construction so I would not rattle/rough them up too much. The sound more than makes up for these little short comings. It is amazing! The bass is very strong but very clear. You can also bass-boost the sound and OMG it will be head-pounding! Excellent for hip-hop or action flicks (if that's your thing). The bass does not drown out the mid or high frequencies though. They are very present. I will say that if you are looking for sound accuracy and clarity I would rather go to higher-end, wired headsets instead. But if you are into great sound reproduction you'd probably already know that. This is a must for on-the-move bass heads and highly recommended for the average listener.

Headphones fit very comfortably. Sound quality is comparable to a theater. The bass boost feels like a subwoofer in my ears but not too overwhelming. Highly recommended.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like how they sounded but they actually impressed me! Pairing was super easy especially with the NFC capability. I use them for all ranges of music and they sound great for pretty much any genre. If you really want to take advantage of your EDM music with heavy drops or huge bass these are the headphones for you. When the box says "extra bass" they mean EXTRA BASS lol. The battery life on these bad boys is INSANE. I used them for about 2 weeks without a single charge and that's about 3-4 hours a day with the bass option turned on. The color scheme for this model is the best looking headset on the market right now. What I also like about them is you always have the option to use them as wired headphones as well! Only gripe I have about the wired option is that the bass option is no longer an option unfortunately but when the battery dies and you need that music I think I can deal without extra bass for a while till I get it charged. I also use them for my PS4 when gaming online. They handle the sounds really well and pack a punch with the explosions!

After my second pair of Beats by Dre broke within a year so, I decided to switch to something different. I got these headphones on a whim they were inexpensive and had bluetooth capabilities. I've had them for about a month or two and they work great. They sound awesome and have bass boost so rap and edm sound even better than on Beats. The build quality is awesome. They have a microphone so I can take phonecalls without taking the headphones off. The only problem i have a love/hate relationship with is the 40mm drivers, they're huge! So overall a great sounding headphone at an affordable price gets a 4/5.

Okay, I am one of those people that try all kinds of headsets with all kinds of music. I have BOSE Wireless, Beats Studio wireless, V-Moda Crossfade Wireless and I love them all. The Sony is the least expensive yet they sound good enough to be seated at the same table, with all that I mentioned. If you do not add the extra bass they sound pretty rich. The extra bass set them on side with the Beats Studios. They are comfortable to wear, but get a little hot after about 30 min of listening. The only thing that I don't like, is how far out the cups sit on your head. I like the over ear style, but these look bigger while wearing. Comparing the price of all that I mentioned. The Sony is the least expensive way to get that well rounded heavy beat sound.

I exchanged a pair of Skullcandy Hesh 2 for these headphones. The Hesh 2 suffered a significant volume decrease when on Bluetooth. These don't have that problem. These headphones seriously crank and the sound is great. I cannot imagine anyone not being happy with them. I am picky and I like my music LOUD. Try these before you go with Beats or any other brand. Save your money; you will like these no doubt.

I bought to treat myself. I got them on a 50% off deal so only paid about $100. They are so, so worth it. They are incredibly comfortable to wear for a long duration. I like to take them when I'm traveling / flying. They do a good job at blocking out all of the other noise. Bluetooth works well, so no need for cables - but it comes with an aux cable just in case. The bass boost works very well.

I got these on sale during Christmas. Great headphones for the price. Sony has always been a great brand and so essentially these headphones are great quality. It definitely has some extra bass and long battery life!

I love the fit and I've always had issues with headphones being too large. I love the sound quality and the extra bass button. It keeps out outside noise well too.

Received these headphones as a gift. Pretty good sound and they are very comfortable. Bass boost function can overpower some music. Lasts a pretty long time on a full charge. I really like the look of them as well.

I love these headphones! They have a great sound, feel lightweight and comfortable. Great bass but not too much, great highs, lows, and mids. I would highly recommend.

Sound is great, batteries last for hours. Easy to connect to different devices. Very comfortable. The price is much better than the beats line and sound just as good.

The sound from this headphones are good and loud. I don't use the extra bass button all the time but it helps to improve the sound when watching youtube videos or Spotify. 20hrs of battery life is good enough to were I barley charge them once a month. 1 major con is the 3.5mm cord is almost proprietary due to being narrow. Make sure you don't lose it since finding one that is compatible is going to take some time. Build quality is good and are very soft on the ears.

I bought these headphones as a replacement to my MDR-10RBT model. I've used those to the point electrical tape is holding them together but they STILL work. It was only right to see what else Sony had to offer since the those stood the test of time. Only CON I have about the MDR-XB950 is that it has a very specifix aux cable which would make replacing it difficult if the included one is damaged/lost (I was looking forward to using my previous aux cable as a backup). Other than that CON...these are great headphones with AMAAAZING bass. Looking for great quality headphones? Want amazing bass on the go? Please consider these. Happy to have caught these on the Black Friday deal but would gladly pay retail price for this quality.

I love these headphones. They re definitely worth the purchase. The Bluetooth is great for exercising and they cancel the sound around you well. The range of the Bluetooth is great I have walked roughly 50 yards away and the signal has worked through one or two walls in that distance. Plus the extra bass is amazing and should be satisfying to anyone who listens to rap. I look for quality in all my audio equipment and these are a pair that I couldn't pass up.

The bass boost is by far the best feature. The noise cancellation is great. And they fit comfortably. If you love bass then you will love these headphones.
