Sony AX53 camcorder met my expectations. It looks good for the money I paid for it. The user should have some patience to go through multiple menus in order to set the camcorder mode according to the needs. I would recommend it.

I purchased this camera to film my son's sports in HD. Man does it. You can see every little detail and put it in slow motion to really break down plays.

Sony doesn’t disappoint great low light functionality. Only gripe is I wish it had assignable keys like their cameras

The camcorder has some great features and has crisp and clear video and sound. Unfortunately I have already had issues, and yesterday the team at my local store said it needed to be sent out for repairs. They had a Sony rep in for the day and he also said this was something that could not be fixed at the store. I have used it twice. The playback feature causes the unit to restart, and will not play back on the device. When plugged via HDMI the unit turns off and will not turn on unless the battery is removed. Any time the battery is removed the date and time need to be reset because of a defective internal battery. Great unit but extremely frustrated at already having issues after just 2 uses. Thank goodness for extended service plans I guess....???

Not bad for the price . Followed the on-screen instructions for a successful setup. Vidéo quality is ok but having issues adjusting the volume for a video shoot

Great video camera that also take photos. It has so many options on it I haven’t figured them all out yet.

Using to record classical concerts. Good pan and zoom as well as just being a static cam to capture stage right/left action.

This Handycam has performed phenomenally since my purchase. The footage is fantastic, it's versatile, and portable. Highly recommended.
