I have owned other old models of the Sony Handycam and am always satisfied with the camera. Great picture and video quality. The only thing I wish this one had was a neck strap.

Great Product - Not as Easy as the Phone

Significant zoom capability. There are just a few features I wish it had, but not sure any camcorder does. 1) instant delete - rather than having to go to menu, pick clip, review and then delete, then more steps to get back to filming, Too many steps 2) a way to set breaks/stops between clips. They run together which is good for viewing, but not great for on the spot deleting. I've deleted the wrong clip because of this. Silencing of the videographer features doesn't always work. Have not figured out how to send videos yet.

Combined with features such as electronic viewfinder (great on sunny days and bright locations such as beach), super slo mo, ability to take and store video in 4K and mp4 ( great for youtube and sending to smart phone and tablet viewers). Microphone control to accentuate or greatly reduce voice of videographer. Hi res photo taking replace need for a camera for stills. Designed to minimize weight, and maximize portability.

This year, this camera was the best product for the money and the features offered. The video quality out shines every other camera I looked at, along with stabilization, being able to hold the camera instead of using a tripod all the time, it has created better shots. The night shots are decent, could be a little better, but on this camera, for the price range, no other camera does better.
