Being novices, we wanted microphones and camera that were just plug and play. the sales associate spent his time telling us how he is a world renown videographer. Long story short, items are not compatible. Would suggest that sales associate stop pretending to be something he is not and focus on truly helping the customer

The "Play Memories" web portal/ download/application is about as convoluted and complicated an ordeal as I have ever experienced...just to be able to download photos and video to my computer from the camera. (Using a new computer.) The operations manual has about as much detail as a package of dry soup mix. Online manual with any detail is non-existent as well as phone support. I would not recommend this camera.

This camera is having charging and rec. problems!

It keeps on having charging and recording problems. The yellow warning light keeps coming on even though I have had the camcorder repaired by a Sony authorized dealer. I have had many Sony products in the past and present, with great luck, just not this camcorder. Sony please help, thanks.

If you keep experiencing the same issue the camera will have to be returned for repair. Please contact our customer support for further troubleshooting or potential repair.

This product does not shoot in true "HD." If you want to view the videos on small devices (phone, tablet, etc) it's fine, but to display them on an HDTV it's an absolute embarrassment. Unfortunately, I guess you get what you pay for in this case. It explains why they are on clearance. I will be returning this product asap.

Terrible camera

It gets blurry during recording, keeps cutting in and out for no reason, and does not want to accept SD cards. I have to try several brand new cards before it will take one. It is now a very expensive paper weight

They skip and the uploads to PlayMemories online make them even worse! Don't pay attention to all of those glowing reviews...I bought this for my daughter's recital and I'm so disappointed!
