Got this as a gift for my daughter. She wanted a lightweight camcorder for use in horse training, without the 'bells and whistles' of an action camcorder. Relatively inexpensive, and it does everything that she wants from it.

Ok so this is not 4K Nd far from the best value but for under two hundred dollars you can make it work well. I bought several items to improve the audio since you can’t hook a mic to it. You can hook it up to a 15ft micro usb to allow for tripod usage with out using the battery. When you buy this do yourself the favor and buy the Sony charger and extra battery also buy no greater than 64 gigs byte cars because anything bigger does not work. Again if you are recoding in HD beware 74gig card is the biggest l.

I bought this for my tween son for Christmas. He loves making movies with a green screen. The video quality is great and the camera is the perfect size for him. So far, so good :)

I needed this camera to video tape myself for student teaching. This camera worked perfectly, was easy to set up, and very easy to use. My video quality was great for this purpose and the audio was loud and clear.

A very good purchase for my video needs and budget. My first vc in 15 years, very impressed with the digital zoom. It is not 5 stars cuz the battery life is too short and when trying to use an external battery it only works to playback but not for recording. I would have to buy a second battery pack and is an extra expense I didn't want to do. Cool pro is that one can record max quality and at the same time recorder will keep a streaming size and quality backup video.

I love it! I got this camcorder to record my girlfriend’s pregnancy and our daughter’s milestones, and everyday life. Quality is great both audio and video. The flippable screen is a huge plus when I want to set the camera away and record all three of us. 10/10 would buy again!

Purchased this to film new baby. Have not had any problems. Very easy to use and extremely lightweight. Strap is adjustable for my husband's larger hands, so he is happy about that. We like the camera - seems like a great value!

Great, easy to use camcorder! I can always trust Sony. I originally purchased the camcorder to document family history, but I also used it to record hikes and wildlife.

I use this camera for Investigative purposes and it provides great battery life and had video quality. The only problem I had was that the usb charging cord wears down quickly.

This camera is great for shooting simple videos for family and friends. It has everything you need to get started. It doesn't have the ability to use an external microphone, which would be nice. The zoom is great and it shoots good in low light.

I haven't used it too much, but it's exactly what I wanted! The zoom is amazing, especially compared to other camcorders around the same price. Easy to use.

Very small perfect for your hand and to take on the go battery last long

I think this cam is great. Keep in mind my last Handycam was a mini DV tape unit. The quality of recording is great. The image stabilizer and optical zoom are fantastic. It does feel like a toy, it's super light, but just be careful. Yes, as it gets darker out the Quality suffers, but thats normal, not this camera only. I don't use it after dusk, no biggie. Highly recommend for a general use camera.

My wife and I purchased a camcorder very similar to this one. We decided to purchase this one for my daughter and son in law for a Christmas gift. This is going to be the perfect gift seeing as how we are having a little addition to our family! Great for catching those moments in time that are so special!

Bought two of theses cams, one for each of my college age girls. They love them, both for the quality of the picture, but they love how compact and packable the camera is. Highly recommend this camcorder

This was an impulse buy. I didn't NEED the camera, but I was in a small bind of my own making. Purchased at the Best Buy in Virginia Beach, this camera has ALMOST everything I look for in a camcorder. It's extremely lightweight, has a Zeiss lens. From what I learned Zeiss lenses are of very high quality. It produces very clear pictures/video. I found it add that the USB charger/transfer cable is in the hand grip, but whatever. This camera dos NOT do time lapse. Other than that, I find little to complain about. For my needs, this camera is ALMOST perfect. VidGuy069

We bought this video camera for my husband to record our son's performances. Great video clarity and more important, the sound and ease of uploading onto our computer make this a great tool!

Nice compact sony handycam. Easy to operate and enjoy having it handy.Compact size allows for really easy transport.I have nothing negative thus far in using this handycam camcorder.
