The only negative is that although it is 1080 capture, the quality of the videos are not all that crisp. I am not sure as to why this is but it is something I noticed right away. It is certaintly HD, but looks more like 720 than it does 1080.

I am learning to make videos and I wanted something easy to start with. This is an intuitive and basic camera. It would be good for an older kid or a senior, or someone who only takes videos sometimes. You have to buy a micro memory card separately.
