I am really surprised at sony. I have a sony camcorder that is about 10 years old that is better than this one. This one was horrible in low light with tons of noise. And any kind of light fixture, or natural light, it could not handle and blurred it. Horrible picture....I am definitely returning it. Sony, what did you do?

This camera is very nice and lightweight, i would definitely recommend

We bought this camera so that our son could play around and make movies. Unfortunately you can't pause during a recording, which was a huge bummer for us. We put the camera away for a couple months and when we went to use it again the battery was completely dead and wouldn't charge. I'd buy a replacement battery, but we really use this camera sparingly, so I would rather not have to buy a new battery every couple months we decide to use it.

This video camera is perfect for home videos. It’s really easy to use and comes with great features! Can’t wait to capture our family moments with it.

Camcorder doesn’t take videos in great quality, missing many features that even older camcorders had, like Night Vision. Zoom is entirely digital and not optical, and build quality is very cheap.

I ordered online with a 132gb sd card because I could not get into the store due to the cr19 virus , so I drove down and picked it up with in about 3 hours . They bring it out , no card (it is separate but I did order and pay for) . I asked where it was , they said , I doono , I said I cant use it with out it , they said go buy it some where else !? (and they call it best buy ) . Well now on to the camera , it was inexpensive ,so keep that in mind . The good 1) Picture seemed very clear . 2) It is light weight 3) Controls are easy to function The bad 1) When you zoom in or out there is a click noise so loud it sounds like a "BIC" pen going off in your ear . I did check after recording to see/listen if the noise was on the play back , and it was . 2) The feel was so cheap and plastic it felt like kids toy (mine even looked like they stripped a screw head) . 3) The battery seemed to be dropping power quickly even though I completely charged it . I only used it 10-15 min . To me the thing is useless , how can you take videos of any thing worth saving with some loud POP noise every time you adjust the zoom . If you want to give your kid a video camera to play with it's your money ,but mine went back the same day I brought it . I THOUGHT IT WAS A PIECE OF JUNK !

The best part of this camera is its wide angle and motion dampening. However, since the sensor is not that big do not expect great results when there is not a lot of light.

I liked the camera but it's battery life was less than desirable. Tried to video tape two basketball games and didn't make it all the way through the second game

I read as many reviews as I could about this camcorder before I decided to purchase it. Everywhere online, it has an overall rating of 4.5-4.7, so I felt pretty confident in buying it. It's been less than 2 months later and the backlight in the LCD viewfinder has gone out. I can't see anything in the viewfinder and I can't use it! I can't return it because I made the mistake of not buying a warranty and SONY is giving me trouble trying to get their warranty to fix this. I do not recommend. This has only been used a handful of times and no one has pressed down on the viewfinder enough to cause damage to it. In fact, all I did was sit down and it blacked out!

We bought this for a play. Batter life only lasted half way through. We were 5 rows back and the quality was not as clear on playback as I thought it should be.

Needed a camera with changeable batteries so I can put a second battery in it when I need more life. Not what I needed with the built in battery.

My son got this for his birthday and loves it. He wants to make you tube videos and this gives him a way to do it. Great product!!

if aint youre professional this one for you and beginners... but quality , its a big NO!!! but the price is cheap.. what do you expect for a $100 video quality...

Easy for me to use the features w/o extra help and has bright nice picture for viewing

The quality of the item physically felt flimsy and cheap. I could not believe I spent $200 for what I pulled out of the box. I had a hard time playing back what I had recorded as well.

Bought it January 18th of this year. Used it twice, charged it. Used it yesterday all day, then charged it. Today? Yeah, battery went dead and so did the camera. It won't work, won't charge, nothing. 3 1/2 months later, only 4 or 5 uses, and it's dead. Of course BB won't help because I didn't buy their warranty, so now I have to go through Sony. How ridiculous. Stay away from this one.

This is nice camcorder. It's very plastic, more so than I remember these being. I bought this for my daughter and now I wish I would have purchased the protection plan.

I GOT THIS FOR MY SON, IT FEELS FLIMSY. MY SONS HOWEVER LOVES IT.. TOLD HIM IT'S NOT TO LEAVE THE HOUSE BECAUSE I'M AFRAID IT MIGHT FALL APART. THAT'S MY ONLY CONCERN WITH IT.
