The Sony GTK-XB60 High Power Home Audio System is an impressive all-in-one solution for many usage scenarios. The large number of features makes it very flexible. First, it gives a full, strong sound that has good punch, but also decent sound at lower volumes. Next, it can work with a number of input sources - including mixing a vocal mic along with music. The battery charges automatically when using it plugged in and makes it useful for outdoor settings away from electricity. For lively types and DJs, the lighting feature may be welcome for party atmosphere. I'm not interested in the party lights, but the more subtle settings can be useful in a dark room at night. Unfortunately, I had trouble getting the lights to stay off. After choosing the 'none' setting (for lighting) on the app, it goes black. However, after a few minutes, the lights kept coming back on. I assume this is an issue that may be tied to one of the apps that work with the unit and will be corrected soon. On the other hand, the Sony apps both connected fairly easily and had some great options for sound and lighting. I did need to reconnect it after not using the speaker for a day. Thanks to it's many features, this unit will find itself useful in a number of scenarios.

Great xmas gift for my nephew! Definitely enjoying it!

The speaker works great and the lights look pretty cool at night. However the sound isn’t all that and the volume seems to lack specially when you are in an open area. This speaker would be ideal for indoor and outdoor small secluded areas.

I bought this item without even reading the reviews because I was confident that Sony will never disappoint me and I was after turning it on and play some music, the sound was muffled like is under water no bass being a big speaker and the app has no sound tone or EQ, I wonder who engineered the sound for this speaker, you got to come up with an update for this or you’ll have a bunch of these returning to the vendors.
