Great EXTRA BASS Full Sized Bluetooth Speaker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Sony XB72 is a fantastic full-size bluetooth sound system. This is not a portable speaker (despite the handles) and it weighs in at 26lb and about 25" in height. But this size and weight powers 2x 6" woofers and enough tweeters to deliver strong rich sounds with incredible bass. I love that the Sony XB72 can be positioned vertically or horizontally (there's rubber feet for each position). Bluetooth pairing was quick and the Sony XB72 also supports RCA and Microphone input. The Sony XB72 has a light array, which is not to my liking but you can turn it off. But I deducted 1 star because to disable the lights you need the (free) Sony Music Center App. I wish Sony had followed the trend on some of their small speakers and included a button on the speaker itself. You also need the Sony Music Center App to access and tune the in-built FM radio. Tip. When I first setup the speaker, I couldn't work out why all of the lights would flash when the speaker was in standby mode. If you hold the "W. Party Chain" button for 3 seconds it will turn off the lights in standby mode. The default setting for the Sony XB72 is to enter "demo" mode if you connect/disconnect power (which means all of the lights flash like you're at some dance party). Overall, love the Sony XB72.
