    The Sony GTK-XB72 High Power Home Audio System with Bluetooth is an excellent wireless speaker, especially for parties or if you are a DJ. This appears to be the most powerful of the Sony EXTRA BASS line of speakers, and it packs a punch. Setting it up was quick and painless, and it can be used horizontally or vertically with the speaker optimizing the sound for the orientation. The sound quality is very nice, filling the room with clear music even at high volume. The speaker connects to your phone via Bluetooth, and is controlled by your phone via a couple different apps. Sony Music Center has many settings to control the various audio settings of the speaker. It allows the user to queue up playlists and adjust song order. The other app is Fiestable, which is really nice for a party situation. It lets the user adjust the lights on the speaker, which will pulse and change color to the beat of the music. The lights are multi-colored and are located on multiple sides of the speaker. There are LED strips along the top, sides, and front, with speaker lights and a strobe. Multiple Sony speakers can be added to this setup and controlled via the app, meaning that you can add as much power and sound as you like! Another feature to mention is Live Sound. It can be activated with a button push, and utilizes DSP technology to make the sound seem like it is coming from a concert or festival setting. Once I tried this mode, I played all my music with Live Sound enabled. The speaker also has a FM tuner and a USB port to connect USB devices via cable. This feature is nice if your USB device doesn't support Bluetooth. The speaker supports MP3 and WMA. Overall, this is an excellent wireless speaker system. I mentioned that it seemed nice for parties or if you are a DJ, but it would be nice for any audiophile that likes to crank the sound up and almost feel the music. I have enjoyed it very much!

    Setup of initial bluetooth is straighforward and easy. The sound quality is very good especially with the extra bass functionality. This speaker is extrememly loud, with this one speaker you can throw an outdoor party with no problem. The issues I have is with the music center app, I don't like that I have to go through this app to play music via my streaming services. The FM tuner and the other inputs are nice touches which gives speaker a lot more flexibility. Also the party chain feature is cool and works well with my other sony bluetooth speakers.
