|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First impressions of this speaker: this is large (28.5" x 13" x 13'), heavy (about 30 pounds) and solidly built. This is by far the largest Bluetooth speaker I have ever used, and the sound is as big as its size. If you are looking for a speaker with high volume, thumping bass, then you won't be disappointed. As far as features go, everything works as it should and Bluetooth pairing is pretty easy, especially if you have a device with NFC capabilities. I recommend downloading Sony's suggested apps, if for nothing else because it adds a 7 band equalizer, which greatly improves the overall sound quality. I am not a DJ of any sort, but the apps' DJ functions (light and sound effects) are kind of fun to play with. If you are a DJ, then this speaker's Wireless/Wired Party Chain feature is capable of stringing together up to 10 speakers. This speaker does include an internal rechargeable battery but I cannot confirm Sony's battery life claims since I have mine permanently plugged in to AC power, but this thing would be about the ultimate outdoor party speaker.

Also a remote feature would be nice

I attempted pair this speaker with Sony's reciever using Sony's manuals without success. I used Sony's live chat and they were unable to pair the systems. Out of desperation, I purchased an optical cable and was finally able to get a picture on my TV through my receiver. Using the quick setup on my TV screen, I was able to pair the speaker.
