We are sorry to hear if you find the HT-A7000 not as immersive as you thought and it hasn't performed to your standards. We understand that we have different preference when it comes to audio. That is why we include ways to adjust the sound quality and sound effects to your liking. All of this is included in the manual that came with the unit.

To ensure sound is being output from the speaker system (and optional speakers), press the IMMERSIVE AE to turn on the Immersive Audio Enhancement function, the speaker system upmixes audio signals, and sound is output from all speakers. Additionally, make sure to run Sound Field Optimization so that the soundbar can calibrate its performance to your environment, and that it sounds like it was engineered to be in your room. You can also set the speaker distance from your listening position and their output level, etc. to obtain the best possible surround sound. If you want to expand your audio system and get fuller, richer sound, we also recommend to take a look at our optional subwoofer and rears accessories. Two subwoofer choices (SA-SW3 and SA-SW5) and a set of rear speakers (SA-RS3S and SA-RS5) are optional equipment designed to help you enhance the immersion of your content. The HT-A7000 has 7.1.2 channels, two up-firing speakers for overhead sound, two beam tweeters, and five front speakers for wider surround, and a built-in dual subwoofer for deep bass. With Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force PRO Front Surround, HT-A7000 creates virtual surround sound that comes from all around you so you can fully enjoy the thrill of Dolby Atmos® and DTS: X®. Thanks to Sony’s virtual surround technology, the soundbar can position sound in vertical space—so you can experience 3D audio without the need for in-ceiling speakers. We regret to hear that you are having an issue with your Sony soundbar. This is definitely not the customer experience we want you to have. To isolate the issue, please make sure to update the firmware of the unit. Refer to this link for more details: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/ht-a7000/software/00272379. The updates improve the general performance of the unit and resolve any possible software-related issues. Make sure to update your TV, too. Move the speaker system away from any device that generates electromagnetic waves, such as a wireless LAN device or a microwave oven. Remove any obstacle between the soundbar (and subwoofer or rear speaker) or move them away from the obstacle. Reset the speaker system by following the steps here: https://helpguide.sony.net/ht/a7000/v1/en/contents/TP1000071009.html. Feel free to test the unit again and verify if it resolves the issue.

We want to make sure that you’re taken care of and go through some troubleshooting with you to make sure your audio system is great. One of the possible solutions to the issue is by updating the firmware of the audio system for optimum performance. The updates improve the general performance of the unit and resolve any possible software-related issues. Note:
• The Rear speaker plays surround sound as part of the multi-channel sound or processed from the 2-channel sound. However, because of the characteristics of the rear speaker, the sound may be low depending on the playback source.
• It may be difficult to hear low-frequency sounds from your subwoofer. To test your subwoofer, play movies with rumbling noises or music with loud bass tones.

If you haven't yet, please follow these steps to isolate and troubleshoot the issue.
– If you use multiple wireless systems, such as a wireless LAN, the wireless signals may become unstable. In this case, the transmission may be improved by switching the RF Channel to Off and then back to On again.
– If the optional speaker cannot be connected to the speaker system automatically, perform the manual connection.
