Awesome sound

Right now living in a assisted living they have a great sound even in low volume . But I boosted it up a few seconds in day time sounds awesome. When I move back by my self it will be great highly recommend these speakers.

It’s everything they said it would be make sure u buy the subwoofer as well. The only thing is the dropouts but if u don’t have it near ur 5ghz router it’s perfect.that’s the only reason it’s a 4star and not 5.

Impressive considering the price but I’ve experienced the same disconnected Right Rear speaker and I’d love to see the option to add a center Chanel

Besy Spatial Sound you can afford on a budget.

I can say this system with the additional sunwoofer is the best investmemt if you want uncompromising cinema experience like you are at the imax theater. i wishbi have a bigger room 800 sqaure feet doesnt do this system justice. it needs 1000 and up sq ft to let the audio breathe and truly experience magnificent sound experience.

Truly a High Performance Sound System

I am sure other companies will be copying this tech real soon. You have to hear it for yourself to understand the sound. I have a traditional very expensive AV setup and this blows it out of the water. The quality of sound combined with the phantom speakers will make u feel immersed no matter what you are watching or listening too. I will buy another set for my formal living room. Once you install it and the demo plays you will know you made the right choice. The build quality is superb. I am very very very satisfied.

From sonos to Sony

The sonos sub sounds like it’s trying too hard in certain scenes. These Sony speakers paired with the bigger sub (can’t remember off the top of my head the model) it just sounds amazing for my small room setup. If you close your eyes you’ll honestly swear you were at the theater.

Great Sound System!

When I first got it shortly after it hit shelves, it had a lot of sound dropping issues and speaker connectivity problems, but Sony must have done something about that because it is an exceedingly rare occurrence now. It's still an expensive sound system, but if you're going after a nearly wireless high end sound experience, this is it.

Amazing speakers at a hefty price

Connected instantly and effortlessly. Sound is incredible! I purchased both the A9 and the S5 sub. I had some crackling in the left rear speaker, however doing a recalibration within the wifi settings fixed that. Wife approval was given (if it didn't sound incredible, it was going back haha). We originally set our front speakers too far apart and the sound wasn't centered. We moved them each 1 foot from the tv right and left... since then, it sounds AMAZING! 1000x better then a soundbar.

Blown Away!

The sound is amazing. Only thing I've noticed is that I have to turn the volume to about 50 to even start to notice the surround / 360 Spatial Audio Feature. For reference, I have this speaker system paired with the Sony X95J and SW5 Subwoofer.

Worth the Wait!

Read on AVS forum there were a lot of problems with drop outs, looks like they've been fixed crossing my fingers. So far I actually think the sound is the best I've ever heard from a sound bar and I have had quite a few. Yes a full blown expensive audio system will sound a bit better but this is convenient and looks good in a room without wires all over the place.

Sony HT-A9 with Sub is a winner for large TVs

I have used upper end soundbars and the HT-A9 has a much fuller sound in comparison. If you have a larger TV 75"-85" dont hesitate to buy the HT-A9. Be sure to get one of the available subs to fill in the lows and you will be set.
