It is a definite upgrade from any TV's speakers. I do wish that there was a more intuitive display, there are only a set of leds on the front and will blink based on the action being performed. The subwoofer seems a bit muted, but I'll give it a pass for the price category it is in.

I like Sony for all of my audio equipment. The voices are crisp. There’s multiple options of tone setting, however some of the channels sound so similar I am unable to tell the difference. Overall sound is great for pandora and music.

Ok Sound. I've heard better with Samsung

It was replacing a Samsung soundbar that's about 5 years old that was having some cutout issues for certain apps. I feel that the sound from the Samsung had far more superior sound quality and also included a text display for information on the bar, which the Sony only has 3 LED lights. I think the TV itself has better 3D effects than the Sony soundbar, just not the power and base that come with this set. I tried a range of settings too. Had I not had cutout issues with the Samsung, or something from Sony a bit closer in price range, I would have returned the product amd gone back to the old soundbar. You get what you pay for but I think I could have got better with another named brand, which sucks becuase I really like Sony TVs and prefer to stick with matching systems.

Has made a huge difference to our enjoyment of our 55" Sony. Highly recommend this soundbar package for a very economical upgrade.
