When I got home got everything hooked up you barely could hear any bass and hear the speakers you had to turn the volume almost wide-open. Tried all the different settings could not get anything to change. I guess I just got a lemon when I got this one. I returned it to the store and bought another brand.

By using HDMI (ARC) I was hoping to use only my TV remote to control sound and picture. I set it up and it sounded good, however sometimes when I turned the TV on, the sound was not there. I had to turn off and on both TV and sound bar to get it to work. I’m not sure if it just didn’t like the TV or what. I traded it for the Sonos Beam. More than I wanted to spend, but my wife is happy that it work’s seamlessly.

Good sound while it lasted

It would not power on no matter what. Ends up a chip burned out. Maybe that was why it was on such good sale??? --The sound quality was decent, but I expect it to last. Usually I've had good experiences with Sony, but this was disappointing.

Press SW + on the remote control to increase the subwoofer volume.
Make sure that the status indicator on the subwoofer is lit in green or orange.
Set the night mode to off.
If the input sources contain very little bass sound components (i.e., a TV broadcast), the sound from the subwoofer may be difficult to hear. Play the built-in demonstration music by following the steps below and check that the sound is output from the subwoofer.
-Press and hold the (TV) button on the Bar Speaker for 5 seconds.
The built-in demonstration music is played.
-Press the (TV) button again.
The built-in demonstration music is canceled and the Sound Bar returns to the previous status.
You’re now able to enjoy deeper, richer bass and immersive surround sound. The wireless subwoofer, 320W total output, and HDMI ARC one-cable connection make it perfect for your essential home theater.
