Stopped working in less than one year

I have had this less than one year and it randomly stopped working. No sound comes out just static. Nothing changed it just stopped working. It's been mounted to the wall. Super disappointed.

Trouble installing....

It might be a great soundbar or a lousy one. We have no idea! We asked Best Buy to install the soundbar but they said they install tv"s but not just soundbars. As grandparents without access to adult children, we would gladly pay extra for this service. So, it continues to sit on the floor for the last month. When we get someone to install it, we will let you know.

I had one a few years ago, blew up after 2 years, okay, things happen, got another one, and it’s gone, did the exact same thing! I realize that things don’t last forever, but I’ve had it two years in September and this is the second one that’s done the very same thing, obviously something is defective.

Problems connecting to Bluetooth

Posted .Hi Thisdivaknows, We regret to hear you're having Bluetooth connectivity issues with the unit. This is usually not the case for our soundbars nor the experience we want you to have. Your unit comes with a 1-year limited manufacturer's warranty.
For Bluetooth connectivity issues, please follow the troubleshooting steps below:
-Bring the BLUETOOTH device close to the Bar Speaker.
-Pair the Sound Bar and the BLUETOOTH device again. You may need to cancel the pairing with the Sound Bar using your BLUETOOTH device first.
-Make sure the Sound Bar is not receiving interference from a wireless LAN device, other 2.4 GHz wireless devices, or a microwave oven. If a device that generates electromagnetic radiation is nearby, move the device away from the Sound Bar.

Poor quality for Verbal Audio

We listened to the Sony in the store. It sounded good playing music so we went with it. After installing it at home, we found the verbal audio was of such poor quality that it was not understandable. I've since replaced it with a Sonos Gen 2.

Nice but expected more

Failed surround sound bass unit

Sony soundbar

Subwoofer dead

No fuses. No burned out components. Just dead. Out of warranty. So $160 dollars in the toilet. In the past, I've purchased Sony for their reliability, but no more.

Poor bass

Sony needs to address this. I will return to Polk which has a reputation for great soundbars and sub-woofers. It has just been installed and am disappointed will return .

Posted .Hi kaibs, We are sorry to hear about the low-bass level output issue you are having. If you still have the unit and need assistance, please follow the steps below to ensure optimal performance with the subwoofer,
Press SW + on the remote control to increase the subwoofer volume.
Make sure that the status indicator on the subwoofer is lit in green or orange.
Set the night mode to off.
If the input sources contain very little bass sound components (i.e., a TV broadcast), the sound from the subwoofer may be difficult to hear. Play the built-in demonstration music by following the steps below and check that the sound is output from the subwoofer.
-Press and hold the (TV) button on the Bar Speaker for 5 seconds.
The built-in demonstration music is played.
-Press the (TV) button again.
The built-in demonstration music is canceled and the Sound Bar returns to the previous status.

Disappointed...

I feel like my 50" LG TV speakers were better than this. I returned this and decided to buy a JBL partybox 100 which is phenomenal for an extra $50. I LOVE SONY TV but this speaker system is very underwhelming and muddy sounding die the lack of separate tweeters

It goes in and out with me having to unplug my tv then turn it back on. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t. Now the sound is sputtering! Wish I never bought it. Should have stuck with LG! Never again!
