The sound on the Soundbar is clear and crisp and very loud if you want like I'm in a theater. With the subwoofer with it I love watching my action and horror movies getting that theater sound. Music is just as incredible wouldn't go back to my old plain setup. This setup is a keeper and easy to set up.

This sony 2.1 delivers excellent and well balanced sound for music and movies. I have the soundbar hooked up to the hdmi arc input of my lg tv. Works great with cable box and amazon fire stick. We listen to spotify often and sony sounds good for music and very good for movies. Watching avatar on Disney plus as I type this review and wow, about to jump off the bed. Remote is easy to use with clear voice, etc. As far as soundbars go for a medium sized room and a modest 200 $ budget this sony is hard to beat. The wireless sub is easy to hide and adjust properly. It adds a dimension that simply cannot be overlooked. If your considering any 2.0 soundbar please do yourself a favor and just spend the money and buy this unit. I bought the same brand as my tv and returned due to hassles with operation of internal tv speakers and optical hookup of soundbar. The hdmi arc is only way to go if your equipment allows. In summary for 200 bucks this gives simple operation, and excellent performance. Highly reccomended.

After hooking it up, we are very impressed with the sound quality and features of this unit. Especially nice is the 'vocal' feature fades background music on Tv shows and allows the voices to be heard better. We read the reviews on this sound bar and bought it after some of those leaving reviews said that it worked with their Dish remote if hooked up through the HDMI ARC port on both the TV and the sound bar. We were not happy to learn it DOESL NOT work that way on our Westinghouse ROKU TV. It sucks having to keep up with two remotes, but we will live with that in order to get the quality sound this unit delivers.

Decent soundbar. Subwoofer is useless.

Swapped it and realized the sub woofer is basically an ornament because it makes almost no sound. I put some music with heavy base and still barely heard it. With the black Friday discount still may be worth it with the discount. Decent for a low end soundbar.

The sound quality is great for the TV but if you want bass for music, I don’t recommend it. On a scale of great bass for Say 800 sq ft, 1-5 (5 the best) I’d give it a 3. But I also like a lot of bass....but to give you an idea, I Live in an apartment and even with the volume up really high and the bass up as high as it goes, I still want more bass. I don’t feel like my neighbors would be bothered by it, Which is great typically, but I like to have the option for it to be a bit higher if I wanted. I had a Vizio soundbar that I bought in 2013 and that had a rating of a 5+ for bass. So I think I may just purchase another Vizio.

Changes Everything

Every single thing I watch or play on the tv is totally different. My favorite movie--Drive-- and my favorite game--Nier Automota-- feel so different now, much deeper and richer. This was my first sound system, and I can't believe how big a change it was. 100% recommend it
