    Don’t waste your money

    I have a 4k Sony TV that I bought a few years ago and my wife wanted a sound bar so we purchased this one and at first we thought ok I guess there’s a difference. Though as time went on like 4 days we were wondering if we were listening to the TV audio. I looked and the soundbar was actually being used. We then watched a movie out from our 4k blu ray player and the audio didn’t play through the speaker. So once again another downfall. We brought it back and invested in a better sound bar then this one. So put a little bit more money in your investment and just skip this one.

    Worst sound bar. Will never buy Sony product again

    Worst sound bar in the market. Worst manufacturer. Sound bar goes into demo mode at 4 am in the morning repetitively and plays some demo music at ear drum damaging noise levels. Sony you should mention this on the manual. Well don’t care about their customers all they want is hurt their customers and cause them inconvenience for buying their product.

      You can cancel demo mode, reset the Sound Bar. Press and hold volume down and power on the Bar Speaker for more than 5 seconds. Reference: https://support.am.sony.com/release/Manual_4748757112.pdf (page 35).

    Subwoofer fail

    Great sound while it lasted. Subwoofer went out after one year. Turns out it is very common. Sony will recommend you to repair shop.

    NO BASS AT ALL

    This unit sounded powerful at the store compared to the other system in that price range. I got it home, it sounds terrible. NO BASS what so ever. It sounds horrible. Wow I have computer speakers that will blow this system out of the water. Please do not purchase this system. You will be highly disappointed with your purchase. I am taking this bad boy right back to the store.

      Hi kingDavid, We regret to hear about the audio issues you're having with the unit. To ensure optimal performance with the subwoofer, please follow the steps below:

      Press SW + on the remote control to increase the subwoofer volume.
      Make sure that the status indicator on the subwoofer is lit in green or orange.
      Set the night mode to off.
      If the input sources contain very little bass sound components (i.e., a TV broadcast), the sound from the subwoofer may be difficult to hear. Play the built-in demonstration music by following the steps below and check that the sound is output from the subwoofer.
      -Press and hold the (TV) button on the Bar Speaker for 5 seconds.
      The built-in demonstration music is played.
      -Press the (TV) button again.
      The built-in demonstration music is canceled and the Sound Bar returns to the previous status.
      If the input sources contain very little bass sound components (i.e., a TV broadcast), the sound from the subwoofer may be difficult to hear.

    The optic cable stopped working after 10 minutes.

    I moved the setting to bluetooth but there was a slight lag between their speaking and the actual sound. Returning.

    Sub woofer is terrible

    Despite this being more expensive than the Vizio, the sub wooer sucked. There was basically no sound/bass. We ended up returning it and getting the Vizio.
