I have an older tv but it was easy to change sound over and hook up an HDMI switch to run all components through the sound bar. Sharper sound and quality bass compared to the other pricier models on display at Best Buy. Very happy with this purchase.

Great Soundbar for the price! Bass is pretty good

I decided to get a Sony soundbar since I recently bought the Sony X900h 75 inch for my living room. So far, I am very satisfied with the quality of the soundbar, it gets loud and works with my Sony tv remote and my HDMI Arc connection perfectly. The soundbar during movies does pretty good, I have a decent size living room and it packs a punch. The bass during movies is 4 stars , but with music its a 5. The bass is strong for the price. The voice during movies is great and clear. For the price of this unit compared to the quality, I give it 4 stars. I wish the bass was a bit stronger in movies without having to raise the voice volume so much, but I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this Sony product. I am trying to stick with Sony and it performs better than the Samsung soundbar that I have.

The remote is slim and simple to use. We like the shortcut buttons to change the sound for movies, sports, etc. The Sub adds to it with strong bass which can also be adjusted.

I have an older Sony sound bar that sounds better. You need to spend several hundred dollars more to get really great sound but I am too cheap for that! I am happy with the overall sound and price.

The remote and soundbar display do not offer a user friendly interface. You have to read the manual to understand most of the functionality of the sound bar. I often find myself turning off the soundbar to watch TV. Additionally the HMDI ARC connection causes me to lose an HDMI port because the optical cable does not give the same quality sound for Dolby digital and Dolby Atmos. The only reason that I'm giving it three stars is the surround sound experience when watching movies at mid to high volume. The remote control setting require that you press the same button two or three times. However there's no display to confirm if you got to the desired setting. I'm come to expect better from Sony, even at this price point.

Sound bar for new TV
