I often use my soundbar to stream music and I was truly tickled when the boom of the bass caused a picture to fall of the wall. Not that you want this to happen all of the time but I in that moment I felt like it was worth the purchase price. The sound bar also creates a surround sound feel when watching movies which has been invaluable watching at home more often than going to a theater.

With the sub-woofer turn up even slightly, the entire audio dynamic of whatever you are watching will change dramatically. We picked it up because we were loving the new karate-based 80's-inspired series that shall not be named, but the sound was terrible on my TV speakers. Now, every kick, punch, grunt, and Pontiac burn-out is alive in my living room. The bummer part is that it comes with a separate remote and it is the only way the bass can be controlled. You will also need an HDMI cable, even if you have an ARC port. But over all, you won't be sorry you bought it.

All you really need

This package is perfect for my needs. My TV sits on a cabinet, not wall mounted, the sound bar fits under the TV and doesn't block the remote sensor on the front of the TV unlike the HK I had before. Very easy plug and play on my Sony, the remote recognized it instantly, no messing around with programming. If you want your movies or TV shows to sound great and your not interested in disturbing your neighbors this is a great choice.

I bought it as a support speaker for my Sony smart tv. However I am a little disappointed with its performance. It is probably not the best option for TV voice. The bass seems to be high and it is low on the tweeter. On the positive side, the sound bar comes with a few different options for connecting with TV. One can connect through Bluetooth, fiber optical connectivity and HDMI. I found it best to use the HDMI for connection and use the Bluetooth to connect with the Phone for music playback. The sound bar is good for music, and hence the three stars. There are a few annoyances with the sound bar. The feature I found most annoying was to wall mounting option. The sound bar has a couple of keyhole like mounting holes at either end but it is not very easy to mount using screws in to wall to hang the soundbar. I could not get it to mount flush. I recommend buying specialized mounting equipment. Another curious issue with the sound bar is that there are two wires that become visible- 1 is the power cable and the other is the HDMI cable. The odd thing is that these are at the two ends of the sound bar, and if you want to hide the wires, you have to make two sets of holes in the wall to hide these two wires. Wish they had kept the two connections at the same end- that way you just have to make one set of holes in the wall. Also these s an odd location for the HDMI port in the sound bar, this requires the HDMI cable to come from behind the soundbar and gets connected under it. This prevents a flush mount. I am not entirely disappointed with the sound bar. It works well and allows me to control the sound through the TV's remote. It works as expected. If cost is a factor, this is an option. Recommend you listen to the sound before buying it. Also the subwoofer is large and you will need to find a place for it and it is not easy to hide it!
