Great sound and value

I often use my soundbar to stream music and I was truly tickled when the boom of the bass caused a picture to fall of the wall. Not that you want this to happen all of the time but I in that moment I felt like it was worth the purchase price. The sound bar also creates a surround sound feel when watching movies which has been invaluable watching at home more often than going to a theater.

Sounds great, but has issues with Samsung TVs.

The soundbar would power up my TV at random times throughout the day/night, so often times I'd wake up to everything on my entertainment system turned on. I had to return it in favor of a Samsung soundbar. I'd definitely recommend this if you have a Sony TV; I wouldn't recommend if you have a Samsung (or any other brand maybe) television.

Solid system low sound volume

It took a bit to get setup and configured to play sound from my TV. All of the setup steps were followed, but no sound. All of the troubleshooting steps were checked. In the end, we basically alternated between turning the bar and the tv on and off until it worked. The sound quality is pretty good and i like not needing satellite speakers for a good surround sound feel. The volume increases and decreases in even numbers and sometimes can vary a LOT from one number to the next.

Like most flat screens my tv volume was lacking. I like to sleep with a fan and had a hard time hearing the tv as I fell asleep. This might be too much volume. I like the subwoofer, it adds a different dynamic to my “bedroom” listening. But I listen less than 50% and it’s more than plenty. The only complaint is the set up. The connection setup is dated and old. I feel it should be a red and white a/v or hdmi. Anything else is just forcing consumers to buy a different type of cord.
