I got this on Friday, it replaced a tcl alto 6+ that had issues with the sub and was returned. On to this Sony. Sound quality is good, you can hear it pretty clearly in my opinion. However, if you want a lot of bass, look elsewhere. I’m a little let down by the bass, even with the sub turned to full volume it will hit a little, but I’ve heard other more inexpensive sound bar systems that did it just a bit better on that front. That said, it’s Sony, and the sound is clear for watching TV/movies. One thing I had issues with was setup. I’m a computer tech and can usually figure these things out. Pulled it out of the box and hooked it up via hdmi arc. But my tcl TV would NOT detect it and kept saying I was in stereo mode, and wouldn’t play sound (I have TV speakers turned off). I ended up following the instructions in the manual to securely link the sub to the sound bar, keep in mind I don’t usually need to use the manual. However doing that didn’t fix it. I finally found something in the manual about programming the remote to work with the TV. I didn’t see anything online about that, and I don’t feel the manual made that clear. But I eventually figured it out by tinkering with it, so another star off for that. Sony, you need to make sure people are aware of that. Sony is usually known for quality, and honestly even the tcl sound bar at less than half the price was set up and running in about 5-10 minutes, whereas with this one I was looking through the manual trying different things to get it working, so that took a bit of time for something I feel should have worked out of the box or at least been documented better. So I did ding an extra couple of points for ease of use. Once it’s set up it’s fine, but keep the manual to refer to later on. Overall, if you want a clear sound, this is ok, just don’t expect the bass to blow you out of the house. I got the 4 year warranty on this so if anything goes wrong on it I’m covered at least. I would say this is an ok value on sale like I got it for. For the regular price, not bad but shop a bit before buying in my opinion.

Wow for the price what a steal. Very easy to install, sound quality top notch, bass is nice and deep, and just overall great product for the price.

This was easy to set up and an excellent sound bar at a very good price. The sound is outstanding and I am very happy with it.

A decent 2 channel sound bar with a decent bass blue-tooth wireless woofer. It came with a TOS (optical) wire to connect the sound bar but suggested using an HDMI if you had an HDMI port with an audio return channel. In this case, we did. It did take a few minutes to get it up and running; I had the bar upside down so it was oblivious to the remote control; once I righted it, the sound bar installed smoothly and was a big improvement over the TV speakers we had been using.

We wanted to purchase a soundbar with a great quality sound but did not want to spend hundreds of dollars. Our wonderful sales rep showed us this one in the price point we were willing to spend. The soundbar has many different sound settings and has made a world of difference. When people visit our home the first thing they notice is the quality of sound coming from the tv. Is it the very best, no, but if your are not wanting to spend hundreds of dollars, this is the one to get. We love it and are very happy.

It’s great that the sun is wireless because BOOM plug n play. So easy. It’s not as loud as my other one but my other Sony one is a better one, this one is good for starting out, if you’re spending less than $200 for basic sound you’re being cheap and need to re-evaluate your money. Nobody likes that. Get over your self. TALKING TO YOU SAMMY. Anyway it’s super compatible with everything Bluetooth, has digital optical connection and also HDMI as well. It pairs with the Sony tv auto magically so 1 remote can control the TV, ps4, cat, and soundbar. Whaddaburger!

Excellent Soundbar / Subwoofer. Installation with a Sony TV was a breeze! The box is packaged kind of like a Tetris piece. It just so happened to rain the day I was picking this up and I drive a 2 seater pick up truck. Imagine trying to drive with this huge Tetris piece inside a cab of a 2 seater LOL. It was a difficult and interesting ride home. This Soundbar adds some bass and volume that is pointed towards the viewer, instead of a typical TV speaker, where the sound is pointed behind the TV and reflecting off the walls to come back to the viewer. The remote has 2 volume controls. One for the subwoofer and one for the main volume. The subwoofer can only go up and down 11 levels. Meaning, you will want to keep hitting up on the subwoofer button (cuz we love that bass!) to have maximum bass, but when you see the indicator blinking twice, it means it's at max subwoofer levels and it won't go any higher. If the bass isn't adequate at max level, just increase your main volume level and the bass will increase too. This was perfect for a medium sized room. I enjoy my movies and tv shows a lot more. You'll notice sounds you didn't remember hearing in movies you've watched before. The explosions and crashes from action movies sound great! You can have a theater-like experience every time! Video games sound and feel more realistic. Kind of like upgrading from a 720P TV to a 4K UHD TV. You notice the beautiful upgrades and you'll never go back. It's been a wonderful addition to my room, especially with all the extra time being spent indoors. I would definitely recommend this to Sony TV users or anyone else looking for a good soundbar. (make sure it works with your tv) Watch Dave on Hulu with the subwoofer all the way up. It bumps :) TLDR: 7 months in and it's been working in perfect condition. Not one hiccup and super easy installation. Would recommend!

We bought this at a great online savings before Christmas. We needed it for the TV we use in our office to screen videos we are working on because the TV sound was coming from the back of the unit and was too indistinct for our needs. This Sony soundbar and subwoofer served the purpose nicely, looks good with the 65-inch Panasonic plasma TV and set-up was seamless even though the two are different brands. We are happy with the purchase and with the distinct and rich sound we get from it.

Very surprised with this product. I ordered online for pickup at my local store. After I already ordered it I was told i should've bought a 3.1 channel for a living room and I would be disappointed. I almost returned it with out even trying it out. I bought it mostly for my bluetooth from my phone for music. Completely blown away. I love bass.. sound is crisp. Can't be any happier. Merry Christmas me!

Price was good, easy to set up and connect. Sound is good. Liked it as it is compatible with my Sony tv.

I was apprehensive about getting this Sony soundbar/sub woofer unit. I always wanted this item but was feeling charged to have to install and set it up. I took the plunge and I am so glad I did! The installation was hassle free plug and play. After completion I tried it out by watching Air Force One. After repositioning the sub I got fantastic sound quality and found myself re enjoying(is that a word?) a movie I had seen countless times before. I am so looking forward to other programming in the future.

This system is supposedly $299, I found on sale here for $199. Had to try it for that price. It's just what the Doctor ordered for a bedroom TV. Sony might be a bit pricey, but they are always solidly built and durable. To me, Sony is right up there with JBL and Samsung systems. I wouldn't go as far as being with Bose, but Bose is way too expensive. This is the Perfect Bachelor Pad set up to watch a bad action movie with you new Chick, and score!

This is a good soundbar and subwoofer. Nice sound and preset options.
