In the meantime, we would like to offer a few tips that might help improve your listening experience with the HT-S400:
1- Try the Sound Field Button: Press the SOUND FIELD button on your remote to enhance the surround sound effect
2- Adjust the Bass: Use the BASS + button on the remote control to increase the bass level and achieve a richer sound.

Honestly? The speaker on my sony TV works a lot better (and louder) than this…. But i will keep it… i could use it for my bedroom instead of the livung room… just a little disappointg for Sony to have made this…

I would not buy this soundbar

The soundbar will randomly switch inputs to bluetooth in the middle of watching a show or movie. The only way I found to stop this is by disabling bluetooth on the soundbar. Now instead of switching inputs the soundbar flashes "Not Used" every 5-10 minutes. Another issue is if you fast forward in a show or movie, the sound will come out of both the tv and soundbar creating an echo. The simplest way to fix this is by rewinding a little and then the sound will only come out of the soundbar. This soundbar has been very disappointing. I purchased this thinking a Sony soundbar would work without any problems with a Sony tv. I was wrong.
