Amazing Sound

For the price of the Sony surround sound system it’s worth every penny spend on it. Also the geek protection plan gives me covered so I can watch my shows the way I want to watch them with excellent sound at the control of my fingertips.

We replaced a Vizio soundbar which had a good sound but only worked sporadically. This unit is superior to the Vizio in performance and sound. Easy to set up and reliable.

Still a lag

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sounds fantastic, but even though its connected to a Sony tv via optical cable, there is still a noticeable lag in the sound coming from soundbar vice the tv speakers. When connected via HDMI, the only way to control the volume is with the sound bar volume control (not the tv's) - which is a slight inconvenience because it requires a configuration change in the settings menu. Until they can fix the sound lag issue on all sound bars, I can only give a "good" rating.

We’re sorry to hear about the audio delay you’re experiencing with your HT-S400 and optical connection. To fix this, we recommend adjusting the A/V Sync settings in the soundbar’s menu or your TV’s audio settings to align the timing, and also ensuring your TV's digital output is set to PCM or Auto for the fastest signal processing.
