It is better than the TV speaker, but I cannot use the bluetooth. I kept having problems with it disconnecting. I had to get an HDMI cable instead.

I believe you receive a decent sound for the money you pay. This system was put up in my living room and drastically altered the sound, similar to a movie theatre.

We are very happy to hear that your HT-S400 soundbar is working very well for your everyday use!
However, we are sorry to hear that you are experiencing sound breakup or distortion when the volume is set to maximum. This is certainly not the intended performance for this product.
We'd recommend checking the bass level settings, as sometimes high bass combined with max volume can cause distortion. If the issue persists, we recommend reducing the volume slightly or reviewing the sound mode settings, as some modes may push the drivers harder than others.

It’s very loud when you turn it up but that’s when it reaches volume of 42 and above. Also, it pairs nicely with a 43 inch TV on a table.
