First sound bar and bought on sale. I thought audio and bass were great. Bass might be a little too much sometimes but can be adjusted. Only issues I’ve had is the volume going all the way up or down when pausing or fast forwarding videos. Same when adjusting video volume option. Solution seems to be to unplug from wall and reconnecting using Bluetooth. Other than that I have no complaints.

Super and Excellent Product - Super sound, too!!!!

Wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this little package, as it was for our bedroom set up with our Sony 48”… My wife wanted to do the install… when she was done, we tested it out… Very surprising sound and quality for the size. We bought another set for another bedroom.

I wanted to stick with Sony as I just bought a Sony TV. The HT-S350 had excellent reviews, but came out in 2019. The HT-S400 came out this year as did my TV so I thought this would be a perfect match. This is basically considered the upgrade to the HT-S350, but with better sound. I have to say that I am very happy with my purchase. The sound is great, and the subwoofer is a nicely added bass boost. It sounds very cinematic. For $200.00, you really can't go wrong. I would recommend this.

Really impressed with the way this device can handle not just the TV but Bluetooth and other connections. Very happy with the quality! It's bigger than it looks but other than that really happy with this.

This makes movies better, looks so nice & sleek, and is easy to set up and use.

Geat sound bar! I was impressed with the sound level. It works great in my large master bedroom, I was surprised with the amount of bass it has. Just make sure you place the sub somewhere along the wall that the tv is on because some of the voices come out of the sub and will create an echo if placed to the side or behind your listing position. Overall geat little package for a small apartment or a medium to large bedroom.

This is a great soundbar, especially for the price point. The bass gives nice depth and is a great improvement over the basic TV speakers. A very quick and simple connection to our Sony TV. Definitely recommend!

I got the idea to buy sound bar system after doing a remodel. I had a good set up with traditional stereo speakers with real wood cabinets, not composite or particle, a sony receiver and a 12 inch powered downfiring sub. I wanted to clean up all the wires and save space. This unit looked good and I have trusted Sony products over the years so I pulled the trigger. In the store you can hear these so i compared it to the JBL and the a Samsung. In the store I felt the Sony had the edge so I went with it. The bar has a digital display so you can see what your doing with the remote. The remote has no backlite or glowing buttons. When I started viewing television I felt underwhelmed, especially with movies I knew had big bass. So went through films I know very well and it just didn't seem to have the bottom end. Sony says this unit is Balanced. I interpreted that to mean moderate bass and moderate treble and vocal. You can't really hear the bass much under vol 30. It is heard more over 40 but its not felt. With music, it seemed to do pretty well. But for programming I felt it was flat. So I took it back to get the Theatre Bar 6 instead. And there is no comparison between the two. If you're not into a bottom end that hits you in the chest, this is a good unit. Balanced as they say.

Sounds good great bass easy to set up and use with optical connection or Bluetooth

I have Bose 900 sound bar with 700 woofer: then I bought HT-400 at 1/8 the cost for another home. I am so amazed at stunning bass and excellent sound quality especially for streaming music. Yes it does not have ATMOS and other fancy sound effects but it will definitely work for whatever you need it for. At this price, it is a steal.

Love the soundbar. The customer service needs work. Ordered open box 2x and both Xs was deleted forced to purchase at the higher price then they were still avail on the site
