Still a lag

When connected via HDMI, the only way to control the volume is with the sound bar volume control (not the tv's) - which is a slight inconvenience because it requires a configuration change in the settings menu. Until they can fix the sound lag issue on all sound bars, I can only give a "good" rating.

Even though we have a new Sony Bravia TV getting the soundbar synched and operating was a bit of an adventure. Instructions could be more helpful.

That seems to be the only real downside. I did pair it with a Sony TV and that is certainly not intuitive. Sound quality is fine for the price, but if you are not technologically savvy be prepared for some installation pains.

It's not uncommon for users to adjust the subwoofer volume to a higher setting, such as +3, to achieve their preferred level of bass—especially with content that doesn't emphasize low frequencies by default.
If you find you consistently need to increase the subwoofer to +3 for satisfactory bass, that's within normal use parameters, and many listeners tweak this setting to match their preferences and listening environment. For optimal bass performance, also make sure the subwoofer is placed in an open space, away from obstacles like walls or large furniture, as these can affect bass perception.
If you ever notice sudden drops in bass or have difficulty hearing low frequencies even at higher subwoofer levels, checking the connection and ensuring the subwoofer is not in standby mode can help maintain consistent performance.

We want to make sure you're getting the best experience possible, so we’d love for you to try these quick steps to see if they sharpen things up:
-For the best audio quality, use a wired connection (preferably HDMI ARC/eARC if your TV has it) and set your TV’s digital audio output to PCM.
