So far ao good. This was my first pick but i was talked into 2 others, should have have bought it first, returned the other 2 and bought it. Great sound. Great bass

I was late to the party understanding that Sony Bravia works seamlessly with a Sony sound bar. I am a fan of Yamaha and could not get my Bravia to cooperate. Caught this Sony bar and wireless woofer on open box deal and fell in love. Have in my large master bedroom with 54’ Bravia and the woofer on wall (15+ feet away) next to my bed. Super clear audio for speaking that doesn’t disturb anyone else at night and pleasant rumble on deeper bass sounds. My daughter says it’s surround sound effect is like being at movies! Solid performance for a mid price audio system.

This is truly a remarkable home theatre system I purchased to complement my 75" big screen TV. The high and mid-range sounds are crisp and clear, while the bass is heavy and booming. Even when the volume is increased significantly, the sound delivered is clear and distortion-free. Sony has hit a home run with this HT-S400 home theatre system.

I wanted to punch up the sound of my Sony TV without the hassle of a separate AV receiver and 6+ speakers. My room is 15' x10' with 12 ft ceiling. I've read numerous reviews on high end soundbar/subwoofer combos that convinced me that that even they will never sound as good as a full home theater system. Also had read about wifi/Bluetooth connection problems with some if not the same brand as the TV. So I opted to go cheap and chose this one from Sony. I've got to say this is just what I was looking for. The subwoofer punches up the bottom end in action movies and even music nicely. Mind you this subwoofer is not anything near audiophile grade and the sounds can be a bit muddy, but there are easy adjustments to make voices/dialogue easier to hear. Connection of the soundbar to TV was under a minute with the HDMI cable, the sub connects to the bar automatically. Keep in mind the Sony TV's speakers already are of good quality for a TV but the soundbar's speakers arre ever so slightly better. For $180 on sale I am happy with this, I've since seen the price up to $300 and if that's true I wouldn't pay that for this. As long as you don't expect full home theater system performance this system is a nice upgrade for minimal $'s to plain TV sound.

First sound bar and bought on sale. I thought audio and bass were great. Bass might be a little too much sometimes but can be adjusted. Only issues I’ve had is the volume going all the way up or down when pausing or fast forwarding videos. Same when adjusting video volume option. Solution seems to be to unplug from wall and reconnecting using Bluetooth. Other than that I have no complaints.

This was so easy to setup and start using. Really easy features to use, once the settings are set it automatically turns on and off with the TV. Looks great and the subwoofer doesn't take up any room. Perfect addition for my new TV.

This unit has some great powerful sound when needed, and at same time for normal speech and action sounds adds just the right amount of bass for a good sound. It's not a 1000 watt/dollar unit to rattle the windows, but it fills my room with excellent loud sound. This unit is integrated with my Sony A95L TV and once set up, it works with the tv remote control. It has it's own remote control that can be used to vary some of the setup features.

I wanted to stick with Sony as I just bought a Sony TV. The HT-S350 had excellent reviews, but came out in 2019. The HT-S400 came out this year as did my TV so I thought this would be a perfect match. This is basically considered the upgrade to the HT-S350, but with better sound. I have to say that I am very happy with my purchase. The sound is great, and the subwoofer is a nicely added bass boost. It sounds very cinematic. For $200.00, you really can't go wrong. I would recommend this.

This system allowed us to lower the volume on the TV. It was so easy to ser up.
