I got this soundbar after being disappointed by Samsungs soundbars and customer service. Got an open box for $566 and looked brand new. Setup was easy and it sounds awesome. I got the Sony rear speakers that work with this soundbar and the sound is awesome. Better than home theatres systems I've owned. You won't regret this purchase like I did with ghe Samsung soundbars.

We had the system for 3 years and dealt with it, until we had enough of the sound failure. Poorly designed for a non-included and impossible to find elbow HDMI cord, this constantly dropped the signal to the main sound bar and when that was working, the rear speakers would come and go. Not sure which genius designed this but for a wired system, why would one inset the ONLY connection to the middle of the back of the bottom of the speaker. Utterly terrible design.

ok lets be honest here I own this bar and with the rear speakers as well.it`s been up and running for 6 months with NO issues ! it sounds fantastic movies are out of this world Atmos and DTS-X sound great and when you push display on the remote it will tell you what sound is being played.we have our 4k Blu-ray an LG90 ran direct to the soundbar and then to our ARC on our LGSK900 and works perfect the sound bar even turns on when we power up the Blu-Ray TV sound is great clear vocals and movies are just fantastic ! some complain the sound is not there you must run your source direct to the bar and let it decode the sound overall we are very happy with this bar and sound...thanks sony !

I live in an apartment have a Sony Z9F 4k TV . I Had also purchased at Best Buy The Tv does not to much justice when watching movies or Video Games . I was told this Sony Sound bar would work great with it did. I hooked up my 2 4k Blu-ray players HDMI and an other To the ARC in which my tv has enhanced ARC Although you would also need something that runs with E ARC to take advantage of it anyways the sound bar has all the decoders for sound.you can also buy the 2 rear Chanels for a surround effect the subwoofer does do its justice and it has a night mode in case you don't want your neighbors in the building to complain at night . all and all I happy I bought the Sony sound bar

Great sound! The sound bar fits well with our TV, so the visual is great as well. Subwoofer definitely fills out the sound.

We took the reviews for this system with a grain of salt after using it all we can say is this system is just plain crazy in a good way you can adjust everything in settings after we set it up everything linked up and we did the updates the rear speakers also updated software we played a movie in 4k Atmos on our LG SUHD and WOW we don't know how Sony came up with the idea of this or how they made it work but don't let the small size fool you when bullets were flying the wife ducked no kidding this thing is a marvel and we have an open living room and kitchen very large it filled the room very nice.we do have the rear speakers and the sound moves all around just crazy how well this system works as others have said Sony did a great job with this one and it can only get better as more updates come out we feel it was worth every dime and its not cheap but you get what you pay for and such a small footprint keep in mind the rears need to be plugged in we mounted them on the side walls and ran the cord inside the wall we have the Sony X700 UHD player connected and both work perfect together with our LG the remote covers everything even voice the HDMI connection is off at an angle but we had no trouble with our stiff cable for a sound bar with this vertical sound engine it does a great job it supports almost every Dolby format even DTS-X it will pass thru HDR-10 and Dolby Vision also sony has come out with the update for Dolby Vision on the X-700 UHD player we installed it and it looks great this may not replace a huge wired full Atmos system but this bar with the rear speakers is at the top of the heap just take the time to set it up the book enclosed covers everything and they even toss in a DVD sample disk for Atmos Thanks Sony you guys hit this one out of the park....

Great sound bar had for over 2 years now and no problems at all

We purchased this soundbar along with our 70" Sony smart TV. I cannot say enough good things about this sound system! WOW!! I absolutely love the sound quality, and it is so easy to use. It is bluetooth and pairs up with our phones for when we want to stream music from our phone/tablet. It is so user friendly and we love our decision choosing this soundbar. It is a hefty price tag, but you pay for the Sony quality.

Gives off good sound but mine sometimes acts up and will switch from Bluetooth to TV abruptly or it will just turn off by itself. Might be something wrong with my soundbar.

I decided to purchase this unit with the additional two rear speakers and I must say, I couldn’t be happier. The reviews on other sites were very positive and now I know why. Clear highs, decent mids and the bass really hits. What makes this unit even better are the two rear speakers that must be purchased separately. On top of all this combined with Dolby Atmos, you’re getting a nice set-up. Well worth it!

This SoundBar/Subwoofer is absolutely amazing from the setup to the incredible quality of sound. I previously had an all in one Sony and the power and clarity on this thing blows it away. Sony does amazing things from there TVs which are number 1 to this beast. I just bought a 75 inch X950H. All Sony baby!!! Wouldn’t go any other way!!!

This soundbar is only 3.1 but powerful immersive sound. The streamlined design and the impressive Wireless Rear Speaker and Subwoofer produces a very clean, very clear sound. Of course, the Dolby Atmos and DTS-X brings out the very best this soundbar has to offer and paired with the Wireless Speaker Set, it makes a powerful Home Theatre System! Great Job Sony

Definitely worth the price! I traded a samsung soundbar that sounded worse than my TV for this one and couldn't be happier. I definitely reccomend it. The bass on the subwoofer is great, the audio quality on the soundbar is perfect, and the remote is easier to use than it looks like. I have this connected to a samsung tv.

This was on sale if you also purchase a Sony tv which I took advantage of. Great sound far superior to the tv speakers and elevates the gaming and sports watching experience. I love that I can airplay music from my iPhone as well. Highly recommend. I’m just waiting for the rear speakers to go on sale so I can add them on.

Living with this bar for 5 months. Sound quality depends on what is being broadcast, if you enjoy watching shows, you may be (very) disappointed as only the commercials will sound much improved. Sports are different, any sport gets a much improved immersive sound field with crowd noise and announcers sounding nicely blended together. As a big fan of NHRA and IndyCar racing I can safely say this bar adds a huge new dimension with the sound of the cars being much better, you can feel the power! (neighbors don't care for this) Overall, with a price of $1200 (with the little speakers) and lack of tone controls she is a bit overpriced, should have some kind of upconversion for when the broadcast audio is poor. However , pretty satisfied, but not blown away, as hoped.

I was good for a while the the sound was delayed sometimes. Now it will have no sound sometimes and if I want the delay to be corrected, I need to turn the TV off then on again. That usually that fixes it. I tried another sound bar and it works fine. For the money I was hoping it would last longer than a couple years.

Seems pricey, but if your looking for a good sound this is the one. I was looking & tried several soundbars with wireless rear speakers. If your looking for clean look, this is the one.

I was Searching and SEARCHING!!! But I finally WON with this one. The sound is so great, clear and LOUD. This subwoofer is LOUD AND STRONG. I highly recommend this product.

This is in no way worth the price especially when you throw in the extra surround speakers which aren't included. It claims Atmos and while it does know how to decode and make an attempt at it without upfiring speakers it just doesn't cut it. So basically you are paying for an Atmos soundbar but not really getting Atmos. Besides the Atmos the sound is decent when it works. However for me it did not work much of the time. I would have issues with the wireless speakers cutting in and out randomly to the point of being unusable. After talking with Sony tech support multiple times their answer was to have it sent in to be repaired. This was working incorrectly right out of the box. Unfortunately I thought the problem was my streamer at the time and didn't return it within the return period so now only option was to deal with Sony. They won't just replace it with a new one even though it was broken in the box. And they won't pay for the packing either. Huge hassle, not worth it. If yours is working great but I would not recommend buying new especially with Sony's lack of good support after the buy.
