soundbar creates loud clicking/ snapping sounds

If I use ARC 3 to soundbar (via HDMI), I get a loud clicking/ snapping sound when I change the cable channels or pause and start programing again. This is very annoying! I have to run HDMI's to the tv (cable box/ PS/3) with optical cable (TV to Soundbar) to get rid if clicking, but then I do not view changes on the tv when using the soundbar remote (the changes in volume, bass, auto & music button changes selection do not show up on the tv screen). Hard to read display on the soundbar.

Good but sub cuts out often

Do not buy

When it worked it was superb, over time sound cuts out frequently and if you Google it it is out there. They don’t seem to really have a solution except for adding optical cable, which was the only recommended solution by support. I bought optical and had problem getting that going, I called in and he said stay with hdmi arc, I said my sound cuts out, and two reps before him said only solution is this optical cable. He said just keep checking for software updates, that is the solution down the road. This problem is 9 mo old at least, I have only had problems in the last several months. So now I use one remote to turn on tv and sound bar remote for volume, disappointing for almost a grand? If there is a better solution please let me know.

Great sounding sound bar when it works

It work OK for the first few months and then I noticed the sub cutting in and out. I I consider myself a tech guy and did some troubleshooting. When I looked online for help I see that I'm not the only one with this problem. Don't be like me and just look at the 4 and half star rating. Google sub cutting out. Don't get me wrong I'm not a Sony hater I just got a a6400 camera. I'm just disappointed in this sound bar

Defective

Love it but don’t work anymore, hopefully they can replace it when I return it tomorrow hopefully... would recommend it but beware...

This is the worst soundbar ever!

And don't you dare you I need those rear surround speakers. I already spent $900 on a frickin' soundbar for friggin' sake! Why can't things be simple and just work. This is crud. I mean is it really necessary to immersive surround sound. That's what Movie Theaters are for. Vertical surround makes everything sound worse, not better. Terrible sound quality and completely frustrating to use. Uneven levels of sound quality, constantly shifting between way too quiet and way too loud. Piece or junk.

Terrible wireless connection

Constantly cut in and out. I have tried moving them everywhere and have used every possible setting to try and fix it. If you are going to spend this much money go buy a Bose system, theirs are actually high quality.

Don't listen to Best Buy and Don't buy Sony Soundb
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not sure if this is the actual sound bar I bought, I bought mine 3 years ago on the advise of Best Buy but the Sony Soundbar I purchased is a pain in the rear, I'm about ready to throw it out the window and by ANY OTHER BRAND of soundbar. I bought it when they had it on sale when I bought my Sony TV, the TV is great but their soundbar is crappy. I will NEVER take Best Buys advise again.

Great Idea, horrible execution

Had for a month and 3 days now, sat on the phone for an hour with BB only to be told I am over my return period by 3 days. Sub cuts out all the time. Read forums, Sony help, verified my cables, replaced my cables, verified firmware, turned off all wifi device's around it, reset it, ect. Absolutely insane I spent 1k on this. If it worked, it would pair beautifully with my A8H, but feel hosed on this one.

Do Not Buy - Poor sound and subwoofer cuts out!

Barely any sound from the rear speakers, light sound from the sound bar, and the subwoofer keeps cutting in and out and we only had this system for 1.5 days. (And yes, I know how to connect things. This one is just a dud.) My old 2.1 channel system with subwoofer sounds so much better. Will be returning this and getting something else.

Multiple audio streams out of sync

Its like there the sound is coming out of each speaker slightly out of sync resulting in a really weird sound. Now, I cant tell if the sound is coming out of the TV and the sound bar out of sync, or if the sound bar itself is just bad. Either way, it sounds awful.

We're so sorry to hear about your experience with our HTZ9F. The issue you experienced may resolve by resetting the BRAVIA Sync function between the TV and the soundbar. You will need to go into the menu of the TV and get to the BRAVIA Sync settings. Clear out any devices paired and turn the feature off. Then, disconnect the HDMI cable between the soundbar and TV from both products. Unplug both the TV and soundbar from the power outlet for 1 minute and plug them back in. Reconnect the HDMI cable between the products and enable BRAVIA Sync. You should have audio connections re-established.
If the problem is still occurring, please also follow the steps on the links below to fix this issue.

Wonky wireless

Worst setup and support

We sincerely regret to hear our Z9F did not meet your expectations. As part of normal operations, our soundbar is designed to display the settings and home menu when connected to the TV via HDMI. However, if you disable HDMI control on your TV and soundbar, you can use the soundbar’s remote to operate the soundbar. The Input will not change if you turn on your TV, but you will need to manually power on and off the soundbar with its remote. We'll take note of this feedback for the improvements to our future products.
