I have not had any problem so far. Only negative is, I wish the sub had a little more bass. Can’t wait to pair it with the rear speakers once I get those.

However, when the Sony-3.1 Ch Hi-Res Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer was demonstrated for me in the store, I was very impressed and decided to add it to my TV at home. Smart decision. I am certainly no audiophile, but even I can ascertain a world of difference with and without the added sound system. And, it doesn't blow me out of the room as I thought it might! Family loves it and friends are envious. I am very pleased with this product!

The sound is and should be the main consideration for any sound bar and this one does not disappoint. Great sound! Note that I use this sound bar in combination with a Sony TV.

Definitive Technology BP2004s, CLR2300, D7s, SuperCube4000. I was worried about the sound being enough to make me happy, but it sounds very well for my living room. my living room is around 13 X 17, and it fills the room. I also added the wireless rear speakers. very good quality for the money. i did buy both the sound bar and the rears Open Box, so it made it a really good bargain ($579 for soundbar, $229 for rear speakers). All in all, very happy with the decision. was going to go with Sonos, but didn't want to break the bank. Very worthy soundbar for what i paid.

I hoped to hear dialogue better but sometimes find it's worse than using the TV's own speakers, which is saying a lot since Sony TVs aren't known for great sound quality. Especially the case for apps like Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime. I had a lot of trouble getting it hooked up too, and it's still not right since it's not Bluetooth connected with my TV or satellite television provider. Overall I'm disappointed in my purchase.

Making Dialogs Clearer
Press VOICE on the remote. The voice mode appears on the TV screen.
Press the button repeatedly to select the voice mode.
Mode Explanation
[Up Off] Standard
[Up 1] Dialog is easily heard by enhancing dialog range.
[Up 2] Dialog range is enhanced more than [Up 1] mode.
Enjoying Clear Sound with Low Volume at Midnight (NIGHT).
Sound is output at low volume with minimum loss of fidelity and clarity of dialog. You may check the following below:
Press NIGHT button on the remote. The night mode appears on the TV screen.
Press the button repeatedly to select the night mode

The dolby atmos and virtual surround sound are usless i dont notice any when watching starwars. However the base hits nice. And the voice sound is crisp using the center speaker. The wireless surround speakers are discontinued by sony that is bogus and no alternative exists.

You MUST get the rear wireless speakers for the full effect and they are well worth it! After owning for two months, I have to say that I don’t recommend this unit. It is extremely buggy. Almost every day, the subwoofer will stop responding, the audio randomly cuts out, or sometimes the whole system will crash requiring a power cycle from the outlet. Highly inconvenient and frankly unacceptable for this much money. The Best Buy employees recommended matching the TV and the sound bar (yeah, didn’t make sense to me either) and overall this performs worse than my prior Klipsch 2.1 sound bar. Would not recommend given these issues.
