Great sound but with unacceptable cut out issues

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, I'm deciding if I should just return it, but I bought this together with a Sony X900H TV and has been impossible to make it work without constant sound cut outs, I already tried with different HDMI cables (the included, plus brand new 8K ones), I tried connecting through Ethernet and disabling Wi-Fi, I tried connecting the optical cable at the same time, and basically every troubleshooting I've found out there with the settings and more, and I reduced the cut out frequency from every 30-60 seconds to every 10 minutes or so, but it still happens and I'm left with no audio for many seconds every time, it's extremely annoying to say the least.... When it works it sounds great, but I can't live with an issue that leaves me with no sound randomly while watching TV... That's unacceptable, so I'll give a few more tries but if I can't make it work before the return window closes I'll have to return it.

Sound skips or has noise.
- Connect the soundbar to a different source and check if the issue is also happening.
- If there is a device nearby that generates electromagnetic waves, such as a wireless LAN or a microwave oven in use, locate the system apart from it.
- If there is an obstacle between the main unit and the subwoofer, move or remove it.
- Locate the main unit and the subwoofer as close as possible.
- Change the [RF Channel] setting
- Switch the network connection of the TV or Blu-ray Disc player from wireless to wired.

Great value for a very good product.

Then my wife surprised me with a SONOS sound bar - just the bar no woofer. If she hadn't done that I would have been ecstatic with this and saved a LOT of money. So now I have a Sonos with the bar, sub and two rears. Love the sound but WAY more money. My advice? Buy this and if you love it dont listen to the SONOS.

The remote control automatically links to the cable remote, and easy switching from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2 and TV. Crisp and clear audio separation. Cons: Occasional audio drops where the audio fades back in

We'd like to help troubleshoot and isolate the issue. Check the following below if the sound cuts out or noise is heard from the subwoofer or rear speaker of your HT-Z9F 3.1ch Dolby Atmos® Soundbar:
Don't block the soundbar and the connected device.
Place your soundbar near the connected device.
Try a wired connection instead of wireless connection.
If using wireless connection, make sure there are no other devices near the soundbar.
Devices such as microwave oven and routers produce electromagnetic waves may that interfere with your soundbar.
Turn on the RF Channel.
On the supplied soundbar remote control, press the HOME button.
Select Setup.
Select Advanced Settings.
Select Speaker Settings.
Select Wireless Speaker Settings.
Select RF Channel.
Select On.

It’s a perfect fit between the legs of the TVs. I considered getting the 9000F soundbar but I was more impressed by the soundstage for the Z9F. The center channel really makes a big difference. It’s definitely worth the extra money if you can afford it.
