HT A 3000 is a fail

Both the later have better dialogue and produce better realism watching movies. And as a side not I tested the HT A 3000 on a Sony A80 J Bravia. So save your money and buy either the Sonos or the Bose you won’t be disappointed

Posted .Hi Greg, we regret that the HTA3000 did not meet your expectations. This is definitely not the experience we'd like you to have. We'd love to help you troubleshoot your problem and turn your experience around.
You can make the Dialogs Clearer (VOICE). Press the VOICE to select the setting.
The setting appears in the front panel display.
[Vo.ON]: Dialog is easily heard by enhancing dialog range.
[Vo.OFF]: Deactivates the voice mode function.
Note: When the BLUETOOTH device is connected in BLUETOOTH transmission mode, the voice mode is disabled.

Misleading Demo at store.

Now feels like false advertising on Best Buys part.

To ensure that you are getting the most out of your HT-A7000, make sure to toggle on the "Immersive AE" remote button to upscale the entire audio system's performance. Additionally, make sure to run Sound Field Optimization so that the soundbar can calibrate its performance to your environment, and that it sounds like it was engineered to be in your room.

Barely functions

Randomly disconnects, volume leveling is off, and could not adjust volume via tv remote. Tried a new hdmi cable, resetting, deleting cache, fiddling with different settings and it just continued to get worse. This was not my first choice for soundbar but I was given a deal with purchase of a tv.

Center Speaker Issue with Bravia XR

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to pair with the Bravia XR X90K 4K, because of the Center Speaker option with the TV is only compatible with Sony Soundbars. When connected, there is a lot of fuzzy noise coming from the TV that can be easily heard from across the room. I contacted tech support and long story short, the motherboard on the TV needs to be replaced. Checking online, this has been a known issue for a few years, and Sony continued to manufacture and sell TVs with bad hardware, and they haven't issued a recall. Because I purchased the TV 1 year and two weeks ago, it is no longer under warranty. I cannot believe that Sony would knowingly sell TVs with bad hardware and I can'y believe that they would continue marketing the center speaker mode knowing it would not work. While my TV may not be under warranty, I can still return the soundbar and surround speakers, and I can give my money to another company. Do not buy this item if you want Center Speaker Mode.

Took two speakers to get it right.

The first one we could not hear voices very well. We did all the cable switching and remote options. We had a lot better voice audio after the exchange.

No better than build in TV speaker sound.

I'm not sure any 3.1 soundbar is really great, but this one I was disappointed in for sure. Ended up with a 5.1.1 that I'm super happy with.

Descent Soundbar

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a Sony 70 inch Bravia series over the summer; sales rep told me how the sound comes thru the screen and eventually if probably like a Soundbar; I noticed when watching TV I would turn volume up to 25-30 to hear across living room. I shopped around and found this one in store. It’s more than I wanted to spend even on sale but is compatible with the TV. I tried installing myself but apparently had it connected wrong. Once it was hooked up correctly it worked well. My only complaint is I feel like I’m doing the same I did with the TV by having to nearly max out the volume to hear dialogue. Sound is descent but I’m having to set on 35-40 to hear dialogue. Glad I didn’t get a subwoofer and upset neighbors.

Disappointed in every way

I also own another Sony sound bar and have been quite happy with my other sound bar. So I figured this sound bar would sound almost as well as my other one. Boy was I wrong this soundbar was night and day from the other soundbar. It was difficult to hear people talking on even with there voice enhancement feature turned. Voices came almost muffled and the background sound would almost drown out voices. It also would not pair with an older set of surround sound speakers even though those speakers were less than two years old. They are Sony speakers one would think that they would pair with this Sony sound bar. I personally was not interested in purchasing more speakers when I had a perfectly good pair that should have been able to use. About the only good thing with this soundbar is it does look decent. I ended up returning it and purchasing another brand soundbar. I would not recommend this product at all. Sound is horrible, can't use existing speakers I own already and the power cord is pretty short as well.
