Quality Sounding Speakers for your shoulders
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are packed nicely in the packaging with a QR code directing you to the website for the Speaker. It uses the same Sony Headphones app that you might already be using, I had to update the app to use them with these U Speakers. There was no firmware update yet as of middle of June, but they worked very well as is. I had no trouble hooking them to my TV via Bluetooth and using them just like any other Bluetooth device. The sound was loud enough and immersive, if you lean to one side or twist your head, you will notice the dropout in sound. When you take them off and sit them down, depending on the volume you have set, you will still hear the sounds, but nearly as loud as if you were using a portable speaker. The setup with the app was interesting, especially taking pictures of your ears to modify the sound profile. It guides you through it and didn't take very long at all. The sound quality is very good, the equalizer in the app allows your to change it up a bit to your preference, not much bass effect is possible though, that would be the biggest weakness encountered so far. I went on a short road trip for work and decided to use these instead of the vehicles Bluetooth system to test them out. I listened to my audio books, took calls via Bluetooth, the battery easily lasts a whole workday for audio book listening, not sure if constant music playing would drain them any faster. Since I charged them initially, I have not recharged them through 3 or so hours of TV use and about 8 hours of audio books and calls. The design works very well, they sit hanging off your shoulders well with the slight weight keeping them in place. The band in between is bendable if you want to restrict how much they move around, by making them more of a V shape towards the front of your neck. The buttons are easy to get use to and are large enough to be able to use one handed. I would recommend this for somebody wanting a change from on the ears or in the ears sound, they are great for watching TV without having the speakers loud.

Posted .Hi Andy,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the temperature of the neckband has made your experience uncomfortable.
We would like to clarify that according to the official Sony HT-AN7 Help Guide, it is expected for the device to generate some warmth during use. The guide states: "If you use this neckband speaker for a long time, the temperature of this neckband speaker may rise, but it is not a malfunction."
Precautions:
https://helpguide.sony.net/ht/7861/v1/en/contents/TP1001309044.html
To ensure the device stays as cool as possible during your movie or gaming sessions, we recommend the following:
- Do not use the device while it is charging: Charging the battery creates additional internal heat. For the best comfort and battery longevity, please unplug the device before wearing it.
- Environment: Ensure the device isn't covered by heavy clothing or blankets while in use, as this can trap heat against your neck.
While a moderate rise in temperature is normal for this high-performance audio hardware, the device should never become "painfully" or "extremely" hot to the touch. If you feel the heat level is excessive or if the device is shutting down prematurely, we recommend reaching out to our technical support team for a professional review:

Posted .Hi Tobi,
We regret to hear that you are not satisfied with the neckband speaker. Due to the characteristics of Bluetooth wireless technology, audio/music playback on the neckband speaker is slightly delayed in comparison to the playback on the source Bluetooth device. We can still perform some troubleshooting steps to further isolate and hopefully resolve this issue:
-Disconnect and reconnect the neckband speaker to your TV:
https://helpguide.sony.net/ht/7861/v1/en/contents/TP1001309093.html
-Install the latest software version of the TV and the Neckband Speaker to improve their performance.
-Keep the neckband speaker away from a device, such as a radio or a tuner, a wireless LAN device, microwave oven or a device that generates electromagnetic radiation. Use of the neckband speaker in the vicinity of such a device may cause noise in audio from the device.
-Make sure there are no obstacles such as a person, metal, or wall between the neckband speaker and your TV.
As an alternative to Bluetooth connection, you can use wired connection (via the supplied audio cable) if your TV has a dedicated headphone jack and the ability to listen to TV speakers and headphones at the same time. Please refer to the specifications of your TV.

Ruined by constant popping noises
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My initial experience was great, but halfway through my second song I started hearing random popping noises semi regularly. It doesn't sound like a blown speaker popping issue, but I think is related to the bluetooth connection. Needless to say have random popping noises semi regularly completely ruins the experience of using these and I'd be better off just listening on my phone speaker. Disappointing product.

Nice Neck Speaker with great sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Comfortable, a little heavier than some others, but not by much. It’s worth it for the excellent sound. The Sony Bravia Speaker includes, U neck speaker, USB-C cable, dedicated audio cable, reference guide, and warranty information. Sony has a more detailed user manual on their website which is excellent and downloadable. The speaker is water resistant, but not waterproof. It’s resistant to rain and sweat but can’t be worn directly in water. To ensure the water resistance, the Sony Bravia Speaker’s charging port must be tightly covered with the attached cap for water resistance. Bluetooth is very easy to pair. So far, I have it paired with my smartphone, tablets (Amazon and iPad), TV, Sound Bar, and Stereo. It seems to me that if the electronic device has Bluetooth, the Sony Brava U Speaker and be paired with it. Specs: - Enjoy the Home Theater Sound for up to 12 hours without charging. - Built in microphone for hands free communication. - Adjustable design for comfort and long listening (can position on shoulders for the most comfort). - It only has one frequency band, 2.4Ghz which is all you need. The 2.4Ghz gives you a longer roaming distance than the 5.0Ghz. - The USB-C charging port is easily accessible on the outside of the speaker. - All buttons are also easily accessible and are raised to be able to find quickly. - The Sony Bravia neckband can be adjusted on the shoulders or neck for maximum comfort. The Sony Bravia U Neckband Speaker is perfect for sitting on the beach, backyard, anywhere you want to listen without disturbing others. The Sony Neckband Speaker was designed so that only the person wearing it can really hear it. Making it excellent for listening when other people are around. I’m enjoying the Sony Bravia Neckband to listen to my music, streaming services, and audio books without disturbing anyone around me. The closer the speaker is to your ears the lower the volume needs to be for excellent audio. I recommend the Sony Bravia Theatre U Speaker for comfort, clarity, length of listening time, and just personal enjoyment.

Posted .Hi Ramirezjose. We're sorry to hear that you've been encountering this issue with your HTAN7 that they would keep disconnecting and falling down, this is not the experience we want you to have. Kindly suggesting to make sure the HTAN7 is placed on a stable and level surface. Avoid surfaces that are prone to vibrations or movement. You might also try: checking if there's a software update available for the HTA-N7 and whether it addresses Bluetooth connectivity problems. Ensuring that the Bluetooth drivers or patches are up-to-date. Disabling any power-saving modes that might affect Bluetooth functionality. Thanks for choosing Sony. -Milton

Posted .Hi Philip,
Thanks for your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that you're having disconnection issues with your HT-AN7.
We're here to help and would be happy to provide some troubleshooting steps to get this resolved.
1) Make sure your source device (phone, TV, etc.) supports the required Bluetooth profiles (A2DP for audio).
2) Move the speaker and source device closer together and away from other wireless devices or metal objects that could cause interference.
3) Delete the HT-AN7 from your device’s Bluetooth list, then re-pair by following the pairing instructions: With the speaker off, press and hold the power/Bluetooth button for about 2 seconds (for first-time pairing) or about 5 seconds (if it has previous pairings) until you hear a notification sound and the indicator flashes blue.
4) Ensure your speaker and any related apps (such as Sony | Sound Connect) are updated to the latest version, as software updates can resolve connectivity issues. https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/speakers-wireless-speakers/ht-an7/software/00343894
5) If the above steps do not work, initialize the speaker by following these instructions: https://helpguide.sony.net/ht/7861/v1/en/contents/TP1001309057.html
If you follow these steps and the issue persists, we strongly suggest you to contact our support team for further assistance. Find their contact information here: https://us.esupport.sony.com/support/s/support-contact?language=en_US&category=car
Thanks for considering Sony and for bringing this issue to our attention.
