All in One Neckphones!
|Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.[Employee of bestbuy] This is a life changer for starters. You kinda don't want to go anywhere without them, and they become an essential accessory just like your phone! This has replaced all my earphones at the moment and gives me what I look for to enjoy music while still being around others. I'm aware they're made for TV listening, but please don't look at this point of view. It's for everything, especially music. The reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is that the lack of bass and call quality can be better. I'm aware bass would make people neck shake, but I just know Sony will figure something out to make a difference in the next model. If 100% being maximum bass is loudest, I think Sony can give us 40% improvements for bass for future releases, I'm not even a bass head let alone my dad and he mentioned that right away which surprised me. The call quality doesn't seem like something that is needed to improve in the next model since it seems software limitations on calls are making it questionable. During those calls, you can hear people through the speakers but the loudness and clarity isn't there which makes no sense since TV & music audio is crystal clear and loud to point that they become noise cancelation which is pretty cool (okay I did notice through streaming apps on my Samsung S24 Ultra that some movies seems a little muffled and not as clear) otherwise everything is great! I'm also impressed that you can put these down a table or hang it somewhere and they become a portable speaker loud enough for a large room to enjoy, that was a crazy highlight of a feature so Thank You Sony for that! (Please don't get crazy and lower the volume on these for future models for the sake of cost-cutting, the muti-purpose is amazing) I would like to mention that the Sony headphone connect app is awesome with its built-in Equalizer, so take advantage of that as well! (Sony would be nice if they took some pages from Sennheiser Equalizer app), but yes, pretty impressive device being a 2nd generation model and the price is worth it. Some great deals to get an awesome price on these, too, but give them a try! Won't regret! I look forward to a 3rd generation model in a few years with expected improvements, Thank You!

This is the one
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In 2017, Bose released the Soundwear, a wearable speaker that tech media made lots of jokes about, but it wasn't terrible looking and was comfortable enough to wear that one could leave the house forgetting it was on. It even sounded good without necessarily bothering others. It gained a bit of a cult following (and if you can't tell, I was in it lol.) It's no longer made and as it's been 8 years, any still out there are either in use or are way overpriced in the secondary market. Mine eventually stopped working after the speaker was damaged. I've been searching for a replacement ever since. Sony's made a few attempts, the latest being - named like every other Sony product - the SRS-NS7. It sounded fine and worked well enough, but it wasn't really comfortable to wear and the build quality wasn't great. There's also a few janky off-brand attempts out there, but they're all flawed - they don't have multi device support, they don't sound good, they're not comfortable, etc. Anyway...I think Sony finally nailed it with this one. It sounds great and it's pretty comfortable (notice the smaller bit on the back vs the SRS-NS7) without looking too ridiculous. The biggest stand-out feature in my opinion is the multi-device support. Honestly none of the other bluetooth junk in my house handles it this well. I have it paired with my phone and my tablet. If I'm watching a video on my tablet and I get a phone call, it pauses what's on my tablet so I can deal with the call, and resumes once it's over. For those experienced in this space, you know how impressive that is. Maybe you can get that experience in the apple ecosystem, but certainly not outside of it. If I'm on my phone watching a short form video and switch to my tablet to watch something longer, that's right, it mutes the video playing on my phone. I'm not kidding when I say that's miles better than every other bluetooth audio-thing I've ever used. Why is it not like this everywhere?!?! I can switch back and forth without any jankiness at all, even other Sony products can't manage that! Sony deserves some serious kudos for the multi-device support here. If I play a video on my tablet, pause it, then play a video on my phone, then hit the pause button on the speaker, it pauses on my phone. If I switch to the tablet and do the same, it pauses on the tablet. On everything else these actions are a total crapshoot, but here it works exactly as it should. I'm not sure the price makes this product worth it for everyone. It fills a very niche space. But if you're like me and you don't want your ear-holes blocked while you're doing stuff around the house, or you want to watch a video while gaming on the PC/couch/etc., it's worth it. And if you're like me and have spent way too long and too much finding a Soundwear replacement, this is the one.

Immersive Sound, Zero Disturbance!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing sound without disturbing anyone! I’ve been using the Sony BRAVIA Theater U Wearable TV Speaker for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed. I bought it because I wanted better sound for movies and shows without waking up my family at night — and it totally delivers. The sound is clear and immersive, it’s incredibly comfortable to wear, and the battery lasts all day. Bass isn’t super deep, but overall it’s a fantastic experience!

Sony Wearable Not Just For Bravia TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the Bose neck wearable speaker, which is no longer available through Bose. Mine had just gone out. I had surgery scheduled and I was not able to use over the head phones after surgery..With my Bose wearable speaker out of commission I searched for an alternative wearable speaker. I found the Sony Bravia wearable speaker. I thought these might only work with Bravia TVs,however after viewing a video on YouTube,it said you could use the wearable with laptops, and other devices. I decided to order these. They connect to all my TVs easily as well as other devices. The sound is of high quality. These have been a godsend while recovering from my surgery. I wear these almost all day(comfortably)with no cutting out throughout the house. This wearable has a long range. I also use this wearable speaker with Mee audio with 2 of us watching TV at the same time while wearing our wearable speaker. Music also sounds great! A big thank you to Sony.

An Awesome Portable Personal Speaker System
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All I can say is "Wow!" to the new Sony - HTAN7 BRAVIA Theatre U Wearable TV Speakers. Once connected through Bluetooth, this comfortable, light-weight, around-the-neck speaker pair creates an immersive, dancing 3D wall of sound just for your ears, without blocking them from the rest of the world. I have a late model Sony Bravia television at home that supports 360 Reality Audio. It took just a minute to connect the Theatre U Speakers to it via Bluetooth and begin enjoying the 3D surround sound just in my personal space. One of the reasons that I wanted to try the BRAVIA Theater U Wearable TV Speakers is that when my husband and I are watching television with sound over our regular sound bar, my husband is always complaining that he cannot make out certain lines of dialog. To see if it would make a difference with these new speakers, I downloaded the Sony Speaker application to my phone. I setup the app to control the Bravia Threatre U Wireless Speakers, and then set the mode to Vocals. I had my husband try the Theatre U Wearable Speakers on a show with an episode with which I know he had trouble making out the dialog previously. Using these speakers, he was able to pick up every nuance of the show's dialog, while still be able to enjoy all the 3D surround sound effects and music. He was impressed. I then took the speakers downstairs to our TV of another brand. It does not support 360 Reality Audio. Bluetooth setup was just as quick as with the Bravia. Once connected, the sound was still surround and rich, with clear dialog. These speakers allow you to sit and enjoy the show without blasting out the neighbors and while still being able to converse with your spouse. We were so impressed with the Sony - HTAN7 BRAVIA Theater U Wearable TV Speakers that we went and ordered another one. Both of us can sit and enjoy the sounds individually, but together. I would definitely suggest them to friends and family.

Like wearing a soundbar around your neck
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great wearable speaker. Best of its kind with not really any other comparables that I'm aware of. It's like wearing a small soundbar - full immersive sound, comfortable & lightweight (you can forget you're wearing it). The advantages are you can enjoy great sound, without content being too loud for the household - for a more personal or "quieter" for-everyone-else experience. Or for the hard of hearing, certain TVs (more so Sony Bravia TVs) can output tv sound simultaneously with bluetooth to this Theater U device, to give the user the needed louder volume without having volume too loud for anyone else. Another bonus is you can have 2 devices connected to the Theater U: have your phone connected to take calls hands-free, or you can connect 2 of these Theatre Us together to the same source (your TV), & make it a duo experience (again for example to not disrurpt anyone else - say kids, or vice versa when they're watching their content). You also have low latency if you choose to plug this in with a wired connection - to a controller for immersive gaming & a personal experience without the headphones, & still have a mic/bluetooth connection theoretically, though I have not tried this yet myself. On sale for $199, though not the cheapest device, it is a nice premium product you can compare to similarly priced headphones; except that you don't have to wear those over the ears; which may not be preferred to some - because headphones can get warm/uncomfortable, or start to feel some soreness after an extended period of time depending on the headphones (another advantage being you can be more aware of your surroundings with the Theater U versus headphones). There is a less expensive variant by Sony on sale currently also for $99 (normally $149), being half the price of the Theater U; however I imagine it being about half as good also, with less premium sound & features (good for price, perhaps for kids etc) for another comparable wearable speaker, up for consideration.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Immersive Sound Without the Squeeze I've been testing out the Sony HTAN7 speaker and I'm really impressed. As someone who loves listening to music and watching movies for hours on end, comfort is a huge priority, and this speaker delivers. It's lightweight and rests comfortably on my shoulders, so I can wear it for long stretches without any discomfort. The sound quality is fantastic. The soundstage is wide and immersive, and the speakers deliver rich, clear audio across all genres. Plus, the connectivity is solid – I haven't experienced any disconnects. If you're looking for a comfortable way to enjoy your favorite audio without headphones, this model is a great choice!

Theater U wearable speaker
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 4th collar speaker. I have an oraolo m110, sony srs-ws1, sony nb10, and this one. The oraolo sounds just ok, the nb10 has very little bass but still a good speaker, the ws1 sounds fantastic but has no onboard bluetooth, and this HTAN7 (theater u) sounds great, not as much bass as the ws1, but close. The HTAN7 is super comfortable, stylish, and if you can get it on sale, worth the money. I mod my speakers with some washable fabric liners which are fairly inexpensive. Besides collar speakers, there's also little clip-on speakers, but the really small ones (size of a chicken egg) don't sound anywhere like the HTAN7 theater u in my experience.

Good but could be better
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Battery life is very good. Sound is great for watching movies and shows. I use it with my iPad and it is convinient to step away from the screen and still hear the sound crystal clear. Only thing I would wish they would improve is for music with deep bass where it sort of lacks umph pass the 50 to 60% volume. Other than that, the device is very good for around the house or perhaps an apartment where you can’t have too much clutter or noise that would disturb your neighbors. Recommended!

Decent sound, practical?
|Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.[Employee of bestbuy] It sounds pretty good for a speaker you wear around your neck, however I do question it's practicallity. I could see more people using this as a gaming speaker for their pc rather than a "TV speaker". It's good and does the job. Unique but awesome way to listen...
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was on the fence about buying these. I have more headphones and wireless speakers than I can count. After using these for a while I really like them. If watching content in the same room with others (like TV is on, but I'm on my iPad) the directed sound is less obtrusive to others, but way better sounding than a tablet or phone. And I don't feel closed off from others like I do if wearing headphones or earbuds. I bluetoothed to my TV in the garage and the sound follows me, and I can still hear when my heater turns on. They are comfortable enough I forget I'm wearing them sometimes. Typical Sony build quality. I wish the on/off status was clearer, but otherwise highly recommended.

Great Find!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For people with hearing loss, the Sony Bravia Theater U is a game changer. I no longer need closed caption or for my family to increase the volume of the tv. The sound is as good or maybe even better than the sound in a theater. I can actually hear every word. Sometimes there is an echo but in that case it is because the sound level of the tv is up. Once turned down, the echo goes away and everyone else can still hear the tv because it was too loud for them too!! The device was really easy to connect to Bluetooth and the device itself is easily turned on and off and volume control easy to use. The battery life is longer than expected. I charge it about twice a week. I can’t say enough good things about the Theater U as you can tell. It’s pricy but worth every penny.
