Drive was faulty! Play dvd but not ps5 games! Best Buy want let me return for refund or exchange!

Should this have been in the system already? Yes. But this is not a review of Sony, lets get to the product. It was not clear if this worked for PS5 Pro, it says “slim” version on it so had a moment scratching my head. But no worries, it was easy to install and works great with PS5 Pro. It comes with its own stands, make sure you dont forget them in the box, your system without the longer stands, in the famous line from Christmas vacation “aint gonna look right”.

I don’t need a drive allt the time but prefer to have the iption when playing an older game. As the PS5 Pro is now discless, it’s great to add one as needed. Availability is spotty at best, but once I managed to get one it was easy to install and works flawlessly.

At $79 plus tax, it's an expensive disc reader for games, but if you have physical media and grew up in the 90s, you know what, I mean Sony didn't include it with the PlayStation 5 Pro by choice and I'm glad they didn't or the console would me more than $699 I finally bought it and will enjoy my physical media would it have been better if it was in the box with the console yes sir but it ain't and it's not a big deal for me I have it know and will enjoy all my physical media on my PS5 PRO

Grabbed the disc drive along with the ps5 pro. It was a good investment, since some physical games are on sale for cheaper prices than digital ones. It was easy to installa and to activate as well.

Best Buy has always treated me right. Even though my PS5 Pro wasn't in the best shape and would've liked a bit of a discount due to the condition of the product, this disc drive did everything it promised. It is very easy to install and onboard. Easy to use and the system automatically picks it up and uses it as intended.

A must-have for expanding your console's capabilities.

Ok ok, couple things here. 1) Would I buy again, yes definitely 2)Do I recommend this, yes but do your research for installing steps as it can be tricky and may damage your console if done improperly 3) Little pricey for what it is, but I see the value in having the disc drive for physical ownership long term Overall, I'd say 9/10 with great quality and looks good too

Works great, easy to install. If you have a disc based game library, this is obviously a must.

Amazing product for a great price. A bit upsetting that the PS5 Pro does not come with a disc drive but oh well.

Found Myself neededing to replace my PS4, due to a failing disk drive. Bit the bullet on a PS5 Pro once I found out it would support the PS5 Digital addon drive. In combination with the new PS5 pro games look great when you start enable some of the upscaling features for the older games.
