Back in the days of PS3, I actually had to replace two different bluray drives and the process was very involved. Sony has really upped the repair capability and upgradability of the PS5 with this build. This disc drive can be used to either replace a faulty slim disc drive, or to add disc functionality to the digital version. If you have the SLIM version of the digital only PS5, and want to be able to play discs, I highly recommend this - It's very easy to install. And if you don't have a PS5 and want to purchase one, make sure to buy the slim version as it provides you with this simple repair / upgrade method.

Quick and easy installation and works as it should

Thankfully, I got this at a discounted price. Still, it wasn’t cheap and while I am enjoying the PS5 Pro, for that price it should have come with this disc drive! The reason for the high marks is that I have had no problems with the product itself so far. I much prefer physical media, and this way I can play older games! By that measure, I works well.

Very good, and easy to install. It takes only 1 minute to instal on ps5 pro.

Needed to play physical games on a digital only PS5. I got one for my PS5 Pro, easy to install and I really like that the eject button is on the drive itself(next to the slot) instead of one of two black button in the front like my original PS5. With the old PS5, I kept hitting the wrong button since they were only labeled by very tiny symbols that are the same color as the central black strip of the console. Not anymore. Easy to eject a disc now.

Works as intended. Easy to install but got it for the PS5 Pro. For that price it should have come with a disk drive.

Sony was wrong to make the disc drive seperate for the pro! However I'm not into digital downloads and prefer pshysical games. So this purchase was very much needed and I'm happy I got it. I ordered everything online and picked it up the next day and Bestbuy had everything ready.

I like physical copies of games so this was a no-brainer. Works great, comes with replacement stands, and easy to attach.

A must for the PS5Pro. Installation is a breeze. It does require activation since by all means it is a BluRay player but it is all handled transparently by the PS5 software. It works as expected.

I bought the digital version of the PS5 but i like to have the ability to buy the hard copy. This product works great and super easy to install! Has worked great since i bought it.

Was unaware that the ps5 had a disc less console. Was happy to find that this option was available to add on. Thank you.

I still have PS4 & PS5 physical games I still want to play from time to time and when I got the PS5 Pro, I also got this and it's been working perfectly.

This was the best purchase I could’ve made. Very easy to install and gives my digital PS5 another way to play. Physical media is starting to become even more important these days and I’m happy with the price quality and ease of setup.

It works fine, the reason I have it is because you cannot watch movies or DVD games without it, but it does the job it’s called for and it attaches right to the new PS five
