Perfect Noise cancellation headphones for PS5.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to say these new inzone h9 headphones are so comfortable and light when gaming, they feel just like the XM5's, but with a drop down gaming mic. I do hate having to use a usb dongle for these, they should be bluetooth like the PS5'S controllers are. I love the all white look with the white led rings at the top of the ear cushions. These recharge via usb-c and the battery has lasted me 2 days of gaming so far on my PS5 & Alienware gaming p.c.. The noise cancellation on these is excellent, the padded ear cup cushions are soft and very comfortable for heavy gaming sessions. I didn't care for the Atmos surround on pc gaming, felt to out of phase to my ears. But in standard mode, you could hear every detail in the games, whether footsteps or leaves, etc... To the price, I do feel these are super steep for gaming headphones, I have Corsair hs80s which I love and these are just a step above them, but the price tag is 3 steps above in my opinion. I feel these should sell no more than 229.00 or 209.00. For the cost these should include a padded carrying case like other XM 4 or 5s sony noise cancellation headphone do.

They are a bit pricier than some others, but once you start using them or do a side by side comparison, you realize what the price difference gets you. This set has lots of pros: Comfort- Feels good to wear for a long sesh and are light weight with good soft over the ear pads. Not too heavy or bulky. Sound- great crisp with clarity and depth of volume from Bass to treble. Battery life- long lasting use from a full charge. 2 days average so far and the usb charging makes it convenient to charge with my controller. Dual connectivity- Ability to take or make a call or listen to music with this rig while also playing the game or engaging in game chat is a plus! Noise cancelling - Nice to be able to isolate everything and be immersed in the game sound experience without outside distractions. Easy to turn on and off. Cons: Not much. Price versus some other gaming headsets, but again, those cheaper models don't all come with the bells and whistles these do. If you can afford them, they are worth it.

I am no having issues with distorted audio, which sounds like complete crap and the headband came undone so the cushion part is now exposed. For $300+ with the audio issues and material falling apart after 6 months of use just isn’t worth it. Sony support also told me they would do nothing for me. So I have a faulty $300 headset and is useless now just after 6 months.

The buttons are distinctly placed so it’s easy to tell what you’re pressing. The mic is flexible and auto mutes when rotated up. It lacks a wired connection, but can connect to bluetooth simultaneously. Comfort These are very light and very comfortable. The clamping force is low but doesn’t feel too loose. The earpieces tilt and rotate, conforming and forming a nice seal. The foams are soft, but can get warm after a while. Even though they’re light, they’re bulky and look a bit ridiculous. Sound, Noise Canceling, and Mic These sound really good, with clear details and enough bass to emphasize booms and impacts. On the PS5, the audio is nice and balanced, determined by the system. The 3D Audio really adds to the immersion and the direction of the sound stands out. Be sure to set the audio to headphones and 3D Audio on. On PC, there’s more options with the InZone app. BE SURE to set the audio out to the H9 GAME. You can adjust the EQ to really enhance the audio. You can also adjust the mic settings and how much you can hear yourself. The noise canceling is middling. It will remove the low hums of the AC and fans, but anything beyond that, it doesn't do that good of a job removing the noise. Voices are slightly muffled, but are still clearly audible. There’s also a hiss that can be distracting when heard. The Ambient mode is good, boosting the sounds without making it sound artificial. The mic isn’t as good as expected. In a call, people said it was clear enough to hear what’s being said, but sounded muffled and hollow. When recording, it did sound low and lacking fullness. It’s not bad, but below expectations. Battery The battery is claimed to last over 30 hours. That’s less than some other headsets I own, but it’s long enough for long sessions. Without the app, there’s not really a good way to know the battery level. The lights on the sides of the cups will light up if the battery is above 20% and flash yellow when low. There’s no sound indication. Final Impression I like the sounds these put out. On PS5 it’s easy and seamless to set up, and the 3D Audio is great. There’s more options on the PC, and the audio can be adjusted to your liking. The mic is clear enough for people to understand you, but it’s still muffled and hollow. Because I used these for both PS5 and PC, I like the audio and comfort of these enough to recommend them even though the mic isn’t that good.

If you need to chat with your friends on discord you should try tying a really long string to some old chicken noodle cans first and see if that does the trick. SONY's Amazing NC Headphones Optimized for Gaming

A high-end OEM (SONY) headset designed for the best gaming. This headset reminds me of SONY's high end noise cancelling headsets (usually made for music or phone use) but designed for gaming. Headset: While advance and packed with noise cancelling sensors, "360 spatial sound", ultra comfortable, and packing 32 hours of batter life; the headset is still pretty light. The first thing I noticed when unboxing the headset was it felt great and you can tell it has high quality materials. Even the microphone boom feels of high quality. The buttons on the headset are useful but its hard to remember which each ones does as I have to keep taking them off to see what I am pressing (I will get to know the buttons eventually). On the right there is a power button, Bluetooth button, and game/chat button. On the left side it contains your volume control wheel which includes this satisfying small click as it rotates (great so you don't turn it up or down to fast), a noise cancelling and ambient noise button, a usb c port, and your microphone boom. I wanted to make a side note that when these puppies are powered up two circles light in blue where the headband meets each headphone. Pretty cool and it matches the lighting on your PlayStation. I really like this and it just gives everything that extra premium feel. The device can stay connected to your PS5/PC through the 2.4GHz wireless dongle and also be connected to your cell phone via Bluetooth. This allows you to answer calls and use other voice functions on your phone. I find this convenient as people always call me during gaming which usually upsets the people I am gaming online with. Not anymore as I can keep my eyes on the game and speak to who I need to. The speakers are awesome. So clean, crisp, and booming in action. These are the best words to explain what is happening in your ears. The noise canceling is amazing and does a fantastic job. Having no background noise bleeding through really keeps you focused in gaming. I did find out though by hitting the NC/AMB button there is multiple levels of noise canceling. Wow does the highest level of noise cancelling really cut out all the noise. Need to hear around you? Click that NC/AMB button (once after the highest noise canceling level) and you can hear everything around you. The noise canceling is just like Sony awesome NC headphones. Download Sony's "360 Spatial Sound Personalizer". You won't regret it and to me its a must! The app has you take pictures of your ears then analyze! Taking pictures of your ears sounds funny and possibly hard but Sony makes it simple to do through the app and it guides you how to do it yourself with an auto or manual shutter.

Worth the money for PC/PS5 gaming.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I mainly game on my PS5, rarely on a PC so this review will focus on the use with PS5. When I bought my ps5 I also bought the pulse 3D headset, because it looks like it should go with the PS5. I stopped using it long ago because the quality wasn't great. Lots of crackling, connection issues and the fact that the ear cups let in lots of sound didn't work for me. The INZONE H9 are what the pulse 3D should have been. They're built well, look great and performance is above average. You still need the USB dongle to use these with PS5 (still strange in 2022). The headset charges using usb C. The headset shares the same white color that current ps5's have from the factory so it's aesthetically pleasing if you display your ps5 on the wall and want to display matching headsets to go with the controllers. The attached microphone offers a mute option when flipped up and activates upon lowering. The volume, power, chat/game volume and switch for ambient, noise cancelling is pretty easily found on the headset and will eventually become second nature. The sound on these is great. The noise cancelling offers similar quality of noise cancelling offered in other SONY products. I personally think that Sony has some of the best noise cancelling in the industry and still use their years old products over others. Ambient mode is helpful if you have a baby or sounds you need to hear outside of the game you're playing. I can easily hear questions my son is asking me without having to remove the headset and put them back on. I am able to connect these thru bluetooth on my phone simultaneously while playing ps5, pretty cool if you want to listen to a podcast or jam out to your own playlist. The sound quality while gaming is great, possibly some of the best i've had. I can hear steps coming from left and right and at different levels up and down. Adjusting the sound of the game/chat is important when laying fps and this headset makes it easy. As I said earlier, the noise cancelling is excellent. You may pick up some loud sounds while using these but for the most part, noises are in fact, cancelled. The headset is comfortable and because of the size of ear cups, does not stress the ears. In my opinion, it's not too heavy and not at all uncomfortable. It feels like it is made with quality in mind. The ear cups and head band both have a soft synthetic leather feel that grip your skin slightly better than other cloth versions. The battery boasts a 32 hour single charge lifespan. My guess is that get's lower the more you use the noise cancelling, but the battery has held up great for my limited use. Highly recommend these to anyone looking to step up their headset game for the ps5 and PC.

Poor quality control for a ‘premium’ headset

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased these in December, the fake leather band on top is already coming apart when the headset was treated with absolute care. A joke that this is obviously a design flaw and Sony doesn’t honor it within their warranty. Will never purchase another Sony headset again.
