Good sound but subpar materials

My issues were with the construction because I had them and used them almost nightly for a few months and the adhesive used to join the soft leather like cushion just fell apart with no ripping or tearing. This was not what I was expecting from a premium priced product such as this.

If the boom microphone of the headset is raised, lower the boom microphone and adjust its position so that it is near your mouth.

Audio dropouts are unacceptable

Why a one-star rating? Because of the persistent audio dropouts that have plagued me since I bought them (on 3 completely different computers). This is highly inconvenient when you're talking with your coworkers on Teams and while you're talking, the audio stops working and your boss interjects and you keep talking over him because you don't hear him in your headset. Or it could just be an inconvenience during a gaming session. The only way around it without a complete reboot is to reroute the sound to your desktop speakers (assuming you have any). Otherwise, the headset will work again after a reboot for days, hours, or maybe just minutes. You can try closing all other apps, but it makes no difference. Complete resets and reinstalls of the INZONE HUB software do nothing. Worst $200 I've ever spent. Complete garbage (although the sound is nice).

First, ensure the USB transceiver is switched to the correct mode ("PC") and try plugging it into a different USB port, preferably one that is not directly adjacent to other high-speed USB devices or Wi-Fi adapters, as these can cause signal crowding. Second, within the INZONE Hub software, navigate to the Sound Settings and ensure the [Bluetooth Connection Quality] (if using Bluetooth simultaneously) or the wireless priority is set to [Priority on Stable Connection]. This adjustment optimizes how the headset maintains its link to the transceiver, which can often eliminate dropouts caused by environmental interference.

Although that feature recently broke for me, the headset still has redeeming qualities like its noise cancellation or ambient noise modes. The software is the reason it gets such a low rating though. For a headset made by Sony, the fact that you CANNOT update the firmware is absurd. You’re left missing key updates because the software is bugged and they refuse to fix it. Do not buy this headset if you plan to use it on PC.
