Good Headset from Sony for PS5 owners

I haven’t really tested the mic that much, but from what I did test, I sounded great to the others in my party. If you wear glasses, this is a decent pick as well. It isn’t as uncomfortable for me to wear with glasses as any other brand of headset. While it may be a bit in the price department, I feel it was worth it.

Almost best headphones

These are better than them in every way, and sound a little better for PC. They don't beat them outright on PS5 because there is no equalizer, kinda weird for a Sony branded gaming headset. The other knock is the price, it's most definitely worth it for $200, I'd say even $250, but $300 no. That being said i love them, they are so comfortable. They also work with the dock for my switch OLED? Not expected but a huge plus.

Our INZONE H9 gaming headset immerses you in the zone with spatial sound and noise cancelling for supercharged hearing and super sharp reflexes. Take performance beyond your best, detecting opponents before they see you. When you play games on your computer or PS5™ with the headset’s Bluetooth mode turned on, the available operating time is reduced. When you are not using a Bluetooth device such as a smartphone, press and hold the (Bluetooth) button for about 2 seconds to turn off the Bluetooth mode. If the headset is not used for a long time, the rechargeable battery usage hours may be reduced. However, the battery life will improve after charging and discharging several times. If you store the headset for a long time, charge the battery once every 6 months to avoid over-discharge. It is recommended to charge in a place with an ambient temperature between 15 °C and 35 °C (59 °F - 95 °F). Efficient charging may not be possible beyond this range. If the problem persists, consult your nearest Sony dealer. If the usage hours of the built-in rechargeable battery decrease significantly, the battery should be replaced. ANC is amazing

I usually work at a co-working desk, and while it's sometimes quiet, I can still hear low-level background noises. The ANC feature effectively cancels them out, which is amazing. I also conduct many UX interviews, and the microphone plays a crucial role. Everyone always appreciates how clear the audio is, with minimal noise.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TL;DR: overall good, head band is uncomfortable but I'm bald so that might be why I picked these up mostly just hoping the noise canceling would be similar to my XM4's, and it is. Overall I'm happy with these, but the head band is really uncomfortable. Note, I'm bald, so this might not be an issue for those with hair. I can feel it's cushion depressing against my head, and it's not like it's bottoming out, but I think the headphones weigh enough that the headband puts a lot of pressure on the top of my head. It took me a while to figure out I have to "turn" the headphones so the band is at the very peak of my forehead to be mostly comfortable. Otherwise, such as wearing it in the middle of my head, it doesn't hurt but it's definitely not comfortable. Beyond that, sound quality is good, mic sounds good, noise canceling is good, button placement and whatnot is good, etc. The software for Windows works well, and the headset even works well under Linux (Debian 12) with no real need to futz with anything. Solid buy overall, just need to figure out a solution for the head band comfort.

I've had issues but they are really good*

First was an open box and the mic didn't work, so I'll take that one with a grain of salt. the second pair the "leather" around the head bar, just came out, no reason it was sitting on my table I came back the next morning and it was apart. this last one the software to update it won't work. The headset is great when it works. Prob one of the most comfortable I've had in awhile even though its kind of bulky. sound is amazing I've turned it way up and been able to use them as speakers lol. Total noise cancelling. Fully immersive. Can jump from PS to PC on the fly and just as great on PC. If you pick this up, grab the extended just in case you need to swap it out. I would recommend because they are really good but be aware quality issues seem to be a thing.

For PC gaming? it's pretty good. For PS5 though...

The comfort is unmatched. I'm very sensitive to clamping force, but these felt amazing without feeling like they'd fall off my head. Everything was great about the H9's until I found out you can't use the PS5 profile on the H9's dongle AND customize the EQ settings. If you use the PC profile on the H9's dongle with the PS5, you can get the custom EQ settings, but then you lose functionality with the PS5. meaning you can't use the game/chat mixer, or the mic, or receive PS5 notifications for volume, mute, and so on. I was extremely disappointed. When using the PS5 mode on PS5 it doesn't sound bad. Compared to the the Pulse headset it had better bass and overall fuller sound. But for a $300 price point that you can't mess with EQ settings for PS5, this feels like a big letdown. it really needs custom EQ for it to shine. I'm sure something like this can be fixed in a future software update, but with no guarantee, I can't justify holding onto these as a primary PS5 source

While we're glad you like the most of the features and comfort of your INZONE H9, we're sorry to know that the available functions for operating the headset does not work properly. The INZONE H9 have the ability to create/save sound profile and fine tune sound frequencies to your game for more clarity and immersion using the EQ function in the INZONE Hub PC software. After completing the INZONE Hub software setup, other settings can also work when the INZONE Hub software is not running, such as when the headphones are connected to the PlayStation®5 or a Bluetooth device.
When you connect a PS5™ and the headset with the USB transceiver, you can do the following.
• Check the volume balance between game and chat
• Display the on/off status of the microphone
• Check the headset volume
• Display the remaining battery charge of the headset
• Check the connection status of the headset
Note:
• If the functions listed above cannot be used, make sure the slide switch of the USB transceiver is switched to the PS5 side.
• When the PS5 is not updated, the functions listed above may not be available. Update the system software of the PS5 to the latest version.

Sound quality was great, directional sound especially. They were light, mic was great. I was able to connect BT to my phone, while still connected to my ps5, which made it possible to hear notifications on my phone or watch videos while waiting for the next match to load. This headset was actually pretty great. Until I wrote it for an extended period. Then I noticed how it began to hurt behind my ears. After that, it didn’t matter about all the features, I had to return them.

Bad recommendation. Massively over priced

The ear cups are shallow so there are time the speakers are pushing against my ears. The battery is pretty good and they look sleek. However no way to charge them except for a wire makes it loose some of its sleekness. You can use them while charging though. They kept changing the settings on my pc and i had to constantly change the defaults of my audio and communication devives and disable the microphone. If these were around 100 dollars i think they would be a great buy but for 300 plus you can get a way better fitting and preforming pair of headphones especially if you use a separate microphone. To the young man that worked there and recommend me those get yourself better headphones and dont ever recommend those again.

I can answer calls for work and listen to music right after the call thru my phone, and as funny as it sounds be playing a game later in ps5 and then scroll on my phone for a quick break and the pairing capabilities is unmatched. I do wish the headphones would tell you your battery level like the flagship Sony headphones as well as better distinguishing the noise cancelling levels, also wish it came with a travel case especially for the price- but I was able to snag them on sale so I can’t be too bitter. Overall great headphones no major complaints for now.
