It has a lot of padding so I feel that it is protected. It is on the bigger size so its sort of awkward if you go to the zoo or something. Still a great case.

It fits the camera, a spare battery, memory cards, and a small gorilla pod. I travel a lot and do not always want to bring the big camera bag I own, so this is a decent sized bag for travel.
