    I'm tempted to give it a single star after getting caught in a rain storm on a hike with it yesterday. It is not even slightly water repellent. It soaks up water like a sponge and pulls that moisture right through to the inside. All of my gear ended up wet. If I keep it, I'll spray it down with a silicone sealant / waterproofing product. I'm sure there are better cheaper options that include that kind of basic protection. Even a kid's backpack would be more water resistant.
