They didn't fit me quite right they were a little smaller than I needed even with the largest size. The sound was really great and all the features of the app if you are familiar with the Sony app they lead the way in some of the functionality. What did not work great for me was getting the wide area tap to work consistently. Basically you tap on the side of your face near your ear and not the earbud. In my case it was 18 degrees out and I was surprised that it worked at all with gloves on inside my car so maybe it was a heat issue. I do have the fit open earbuds and the wide area tap works fine at least with normal temperatures. Maybe this will get fixed in software. If the fit was a little better I would probably have kept them to see if they improved over time. Your fit and tap controls might work better. You might want to consider the cheaper 700s or more expensive xm5s also great Sony earbuds.

As for the wide area tap issue, it is possible that extreme temperatures may affect its performance. We recommend trying the feature in a warmer environment to see if it improves. Additionally, we are continuously working on software updates to enhance our products' functionality, and your feedback will be valuable in this process.
We hope you consider trying our other truly Wireless Noise Canceling In-Ear models or the more advanced WF-1000XM5, which also offer great features and might better suit your preferences.

The added wing make a large difference compared to other earbuds. The battery life is very good and I have had no issues with the charging case. I can wear them for hours on end without and any problems or my ears starting to hurt. The app also provides a good place to customize the sound and the way you hear your music

Solid product so far

There are a lot of features that can be customized in the app. I have an issue with the fit. They always tend to walk out of my ears. The tight ear just will not stay put. The other issue I have is that I can’t seem to figure out how to hang up a call without pulling out the phone itself.

At the same time, we’re sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the fit. You might want to try different sizes of the included ear tips, or gently adjust how you place the earbuds in your ears to see if that helps them stay put.
For hanging up a call, just tap the headset or the area near your ear three times quickly (about 0.2 seconds between taps) and the call will end.

Good sound, but hard to connect and cumbersome

However, the earbuds had a hard time connecting quickly to my iPad and either of my two iPhones. I had to restart the earbuds multiple times before they would connect to something else. Also, you have to run them with the app to get the 360 sound. I returned them quickly.

Great but not for true noise cancelling

Even in noise cancelling mode I can still hear things going on in the background. Battery life also tends to run short compared to other beats products.

Regarding the noise canceling, since these use an Auto NC Optimizer, achieving a perfect seal with the right ear tip size is key to blocking those background sounds. As for battery life, while our Integrated Processor V2 balances high-fidelity sound and ANC, you can actually extend your playtime by turning off features like "Speak-to-Chat" or "DSEE Extreme" in the Sony | Headphones Connect app when you don't need them.

Works fine, controls not so much

They fit well inside my ear and the noise canceling worked, however the rubbery coating on the outside and the “fins” made it a little easy for them to fall out. Additionally the coating obstructed the tap controls on the earbuds which was a huge bummer. I returned these and upgraded to the more expensive noise canceling Sony earbuds
