Battery's not long for this world.

The noise canceling and pass-through also sound great. Great connection with my phone and watch, I never had drop-outs. The battery life, when new, was great. However, the battery is now to the point where the right earbud is dead after 25-30 minutes despite starting with a full charge. These are only 15 months old, of course just outside the warranty window. That's a major disappointment and makes these effectively short-term e-waste. I suppose it's a similar story for most earbuds, unfortunately.

Top combo of great sound, noise cancel and fit

What I love: - Awesome snug fit, won't fall out - Excellent touch and grip - Fantastic noise cancelling both active and passive - Great sound, loud and clear - 10/10 across the board, light, durable, stylish, cool software, eco friendly Could use polish: - I would prefer more crisp highs frequencies (more or composite drivers?) - LDAC took me some work to setup and enable (which makes a huge difference, so do it) - Aptx would be nice (gaming mode) - simultaneous multiple phones connect would be great (that i love on my XM5 which is also a 10 out of 10 Sony product)

Excellent ear buds!

The default sound options are great--nice bass, great clarity--but the customizability of the EQ settings really makes these earbuds an excellent choice! They are comfortable to wear for long periods of time and I'm not really worried that they might fall out of my ear while doing my daily routine (although I do have to adust them a lot for optimal fit during use). The active noise cancellation is great (when the earbuds are perfectly positioned) and the touch contols are really convenient. Overall, the Sony Linkbuds S are an excellent value, especially at the discounted price!

Ambient sounds passthrough works excellent if you manually select it yourself. The "Adaptive" ambient aware is not the best when trying to determine when ambient sound should be on or not. I was told that background voices come through really loud during phone calls. Bettery life is great, as advertised. Pretty good set of buds.

Great for people with weird ears, and normal ears

Even the most expensive, customizable earbuds on the planet fall out, no matter what activity I am doing. Earbuds for big ears, little ears, custom earbuds, nothing works, and I hate earbuds. However, this is the first set of earbuds that ever actually stayed in my ears. Don’t get me wrong, I had a few moments were just bending over one would fall out for seemingly no reason, but overall they are really really awesome.

Overall, I really enjoy them, they're lightweight, comfortable and sound great. I have had occasional issues with them disconnecting on their own, hence the 4-star rating, but this is fairly rare. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for noise canceling earbuds.

This is definitely not the news that we would like to hear. Using headphones in a crowded place, such as on a train or busy road, nearby devices may interrupt Bluetooth communication and cause sound interruptions, interference, or noise. If the issue doesn't occur at home or with fewer nearby devices, it is Bluetooth communication interference causing the issue, and not the headphones. Good all around ear bud

The available app allows you to control different bass and treble frequencies to customize the sound. Once originally connected they automatically connect once removed from the case. For ear buds in general their battery life is good and they seem to be of decent quality overall. I use as a bluetooth headset as a delivery driver and to listen to music at the gym and around the house. Obviously more expensive versions will have more features and better sound but for a solid set of ear buds for daily activities these are a good option.

Good use for the cost

Have enough base and regular sound however i wish that these would have the ability to have play and pause on both sides. If you use only one you are stuff with just the settings you have for either side.i would say this is a good entry level sony buds that wont break the bank.

Stopped working after 1.5 years

However they stopped working after only a year and a half. They no longer hold charge longer than like 30-40 minutes. The left side only holds charge for literally 5 minutes. The case takes forever to charge now and can only charge them like one time before needing another charge. I would just hope that earbuds purchased for $200 (what I paid) would last longer than a year and a half.

Note:
Either side of the headphones can work as the main unit, and the main unit consumes more power than the other side. Because of this, the remaining battery level may vary between left and right. This is not a malfunction.
And as a general recommendation, if you haven't tried yet, we recommend updating the firmware of your headphones to the latest version. The firmware update improves the functionality and features of the headphones. It also provides fixes to any performance issues that you are encountering.
