Excellent ear buds!

The default sound options are great--nice bass, great clarity--but the customizability of the EQ settings really makes these earbuds an excellent choice! They are comfortable to wear for long periods of time and I'm not really worried that they might fall out of my ear while doing my daily routine (although I do have to adust them a lot for optimal fit during use). The active noise cancellation is great (when the earbuds are perfectly positioned) and the touch contols are really convenient. Overall, the Sony Linkbuds S are an excellent value, especially at the discounted price!

Replaced Sony WF-1000X

The batteries were dyeing on my old Sony wf-1000x (the first generation ones). They were good for their time, but these are lighter, fit better, have better noise cancelation, are better for phone calls, and sound at least as good. I also have a set of WH-1000XM4 over the ear that are excellent, especially on a plane, but I can only wear them for so long. I cannot compare sound to the new pixel buds pro, but I like that these are smaller in the ear. I do wish they had more control over what the tap effects do... I don't use spotify, so being able to assign double-tap to bring up the google assistant would be nice.

Great earbuds, but won't last long on one charge

They fit well in your ears and don't come out easily. They are small and lightweight you barely feel them in your ears. You can sleep with them on and you won't feel uncomfortable or have sore ears. They sound good, they do lack a bit of base. One bad thing about them, they last about 4 1/2 hours on a single charge after that you charge them in the case

Even the most expensive, customizable earbuds on the planet fall out, no matter what activity I am doing. Earbuds for big ears, little ears, custom earbuds, nothing works, and I hate earbuds. However, this is the first set of earbuds that ever actually stayed in my ears. Don’t get me wrong, I had a few moments were just bending over one would fall out for seemingly no reason, but overall they are really really awesome.

Good all around ear bud

The available app allows you to control different bass and treble frequencies to customize the sound. Once originally connected they automatically connect once removed from the case. For ear buds in general their battery life is good and they seem to be of decent quality overall. I use as a bluetooth headset as a delivery driver and to listen to music at the gym and around the house. Obviously more expensive versions will have more features and better sound but for a solid set of ear buds for daily activities these are a good option.

I use it every day for work. It is very comfortable to wear 6-7 hours per day. Overall, I am happy with the performance. Audio canceling and audio quality are not top-notch in the market but I am willing to sacrifice those for comfort and easy wearability.

Great Buy!

Sound quality is great, I love the amount of base on them as well. The buds are very comfortable for my ear. I had trouble with the right one disconnecting occacionally howeve after checking you tube found how to unpair and relink the devices and the issue has been resolved.

Just meh….

Left earbud stops working periodically and Noise Cancelling is just ok. I had the XM4 ear buds, they were awesome but were unable to charge after 20 months. I was refunded 100% of my money by Sony via check, so I bought XM5 earbuds. Washed them… So Finally went for cheaper earbuds. Bad decision. The XM4 and XM5 never had connectivity issues like these do. The sound never stopped working like these do. These are a better size for me than the Flagship XM’s. Other than that I think they’re meh… pay the extra 100 and get the XM’s if you are definitely buying Sony.

They sound great, and the touch controls are extremely convenient and useful. The only issue I have with these is that, at times, they have pauses in audio. I'm not sure if it is a connection issue or what, but it is a bit annoying. Other than that, these are great earbuds.

Does last longer if no noise cancelling. Had the AirPods Pro first gen before these, prefer these by a lot. Occasionally it will disconnect when choosing to prioritize sound quality

Amazing sound just need a bit more noise canceling

They are not that great for Noise canceling like their big brother the WF-1000XM5 but they will remove some unwanted sound. The sound quality is where they shine for my taste. The WF-1000XM5 does have better quality but the spatial sound on these just hit differently. I said I loved these because they are not water resistant and neither is the case. I made a mistake and dropped them outside in some water and could not recover them. So sad.

Your feedback about the mic function is greatly appreciated. For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is up-to-date (via the Sony Headphones Connect app).
It is recommended to wear both earbuds properly when on a call. Use a smartphone or mobile phone at least 50 cm (19.69 in.) away from the headset. Noise may result if the smartphone or mobile phone is too close to the headset. You can also check your source device or the app that you are using for mic sensitivity and adjustments.

Earbuds loose battery power

I typically get a newer model galaxy earbud earbuds when I upgrade my phone every 3 to 4 years. Last year July 2023, when I was due to get a new earbud, I decided to try a different brand, and after much research, decided to go with Sony. Based on recommendations I chose the Sony LinkBud S. Sadly, I came to regret that decision very quickly. The Linkbuds started giving issues by Sept 2023, just 3 months after purchasing them. The bluetooth connectivity kept dropping, meaning I would be on a call and while not even moving at all, they would suddenly loose connectivity and the call would be through only my phone. I did updates via the app on my phone, and tried several other troubleshooting methods, but the issue continued. I ignored and continued using them. Last month (June), just when the headsets were under one year old, the battery power on each earpiece started going out within 30 mins of intermittent use. They could be 100% charged, but would go out after three or four 5 min calls. I don't even use them for music or any heavy streaming. Just only phone calls! This is a little bit frustrating to me. My galaxy earbuds never really lost battery holding power, and I used every one that I owned for at least 3 years before changing them. I have observed them for a month now (since June) and the problem persists. I expected a lot more from a Sony product, and I am totally dissatisfied with these earbuds.
