Good at first but then...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using these for 2 years so far and here is my review of them Battery: Started off great and then slowly got worse, like really worse, especially for the right earbud. They lose battery very fast on calls. I would use them to chat with my buddies on discord and the earbuds would die 3 times as fast as they should. Yes they still fully charge but the right eabud now dies in like 1 hour when listening to music. Sound Quality: Really good. The audio still sounds as good as the day i bought them. Not as good as some of the top stuff but its up there. I got them on discount a while back for 90 dollars, for 149 or 200 i feel like they are a bit too much since after 2 years they cant keep their battery life in check. Just buy some airpods instead. My siblings have been having those for 5 plus years and they still work as they should.

For the battery life, the usage hours may be different from the time described on the link below depending on the settings for the headset functions & usage conditions. The same goes with the speed of energy consumption for the rechargeable battery between the left and right units. This also depends on the settings for the headset functions and usage conditions. Great earbuds for its price point

For its price point, I think it could’ve produced deeper sounds, but it’s nothing to fret over. This pair of earbuds still produce great sound. Here are my Pros & cons: Pros: ⁃ matte design on both the case & earbuds are nice ⁃ Automatic pause & play are pretty spot on ⁃ Control responses are good ⁃ Lightweight & smaller charging case compared to others ⁃ Great sound (bass is deep enough; good balance) Cons: ⁃ pretty high price point ⁃ Software isn’t user friendly; it seems to “really encourage” you to sign up to something you might not want to ⁃ Seems like you can’t pair this to Windows devices because you need the app to sync these earbuds to your device I highly recommend these earbuds for on the go listening to music. They are a lot lighter in weight than the Apple Airpods. Sound quality is comparable as well. Also, if you are looking for a discrete earbuds, these work well because of its size as they fit perfectly in ear.

Fantastic sound

They are very comfortable, and have many sizes of tips to choose from to get a good and stable fit. The noise-canceling function is really good for earbuds, but not as good as over-the-ear headphones. It is functional with Android devices even though it didn't say it on the packaging. It integrates well with Google Assistant, which allows you to give commands and control your phone or device with your voice through the earbuds. The sound is very clear, but if you listen to music through the 360 Reality Audio, it is absolutely amazing and immersive. The app is very easy to use and allows you to customize your earbuds to your specific tastes. The Adaptive Sound Control feature will decipher your current location and activity to automatically program the earbuds to provide you with the optimal settings for your situation. It has a Clear Bass feature that can be used to enhance your low range without distortion. I highly recommend these earbuds whether you are an Apple or Android user.

Very nice mini earbuds by Sony

Theyre super comfortable surprisingly and they sound pretty good. I have the 1000x3's and hated them, these linkbud S fit and sound so good. I like they have Google Assistant and noise canceling, only thing these lack imo is wireless charging. These are so simple to use and they stay in my ear without falling out when on a walk or playing my drums. The case is about 2" wide by 1& 5/8" tall by 3/4" deep. Making these easy to carry in your pocket. I like you can use the equalizer setting in the Sony app. You get extra ear adapters and a 6" usb A to usb C cord. I find these to be very comfortable for extended use with out any ear fatigue. I really am anticipating the release of sonys 1000x5 earbuds, becauseif these linkbuds S sound and fit this well, I imagine the x5's should be 2 to 3x better jn sound or comfort. While I dont consider these to be a cheap option, they are worth the price for the sound and minimal size.

Excellent quality earbuds and excellent design

The design is very simple and sleek with minimal plastic outside of the ear canal, creating an encouraging feel of stability when in your ears. They are very lightweight and comfortable with little interference between the earbud structure and external portion of the ear; nothing creating discomfort. Audio quality is the best I’ve experienced in earbuds to date. The standard setting create a great audible experience for everything from music to audiobooks straight out of the box. The customizable aspects of the earbuds makes them even better. The noise cancelling capabilities are excellent, and comparable to over-ear headphones, in my opinion. Initially I’d experimented with both music and calls next to our washer and dryer, and there was no loss of quality on my end, and the individual on the other end of the call heard me loud and clear. Completing the same experiment on a running lawn mower still had excellent quality audio for music, and overall good communication during a call; not excellent but pretty good, and impressive for earbuds to say the least. Thus far I’ve been extremely impressed and pleased with these earbuds.

Battery issue.

Yes, they are super light and comfortable but the battery is horrible. Brand new, fully charge, they only lasted 2.50 hours with the NC on. I found out that this is a common problem with the Sony brand. The battery drains really fast. Pro: Great NC and you can make some sound adjustment in the app which is great! I returned them and acquired the Beats Studio Buds +. So far so good.

I had high hopes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When the LinkBuds S first came out they initially got good reviews so I picked up a pair for myself. Since my purchase, I've had a love/hate relationship with these buds. On the surface they are comfortable to wear, have a compact case, and have good sound and noise cancelling. Not great, but generally good for the price point. Where things have really plagued these buds has been performance. Firstly, the Sony app is terrible. It has too many sub-menus, ads and notifications that I can't clear and a bizarre layout that makes it difficult to find things when I need the settings. Performance issues still abound for me even on the latest 3.05 firmware where the touch controls often do not work and/or give proper feedback and far too often they simply won't connect when I pop them out of the case until I manually connect them. That's a deal breaker for me. I still have them and occasionally give them another try but invariably I just end up stuffing them back in a drawer hoping the next update will fix things.

Some minor flaws

Also impossible to do calls with if there's lots of noise around you - you just can't be heard. Overall, they're pretty good. Far from perfect, but great for the price

Left Earbud Battery Life Issue

Purchased these 7-12-22 and now the left earbud can only hold a full charge for roughly 30-40 mins. After going through the suggested actions with SONY Customer Support, they directed me to a repair company that they are affiliated with for further direction. The company said that the cost to repair and resynch the earbud would be about the same cost as repurchasing the product new as the product is now out of warranty. This is not the first time a SONY product I've purchased has had issues around 2 years after the initial purchase. The repair company said I could look at eCommerce sites like eBay to buy the earbud, and then send it off to the repair company for resynching, which would cost about half the original purchase price of the Link Buds. This will be the final SONY branded electronic I buy after a near lifelong dedication to them. When quality sinks, customers look elsewhere. Save your time and money and research other earbuds/headphones.

After searching and experimenting with MANY different types of ear buds and being so disappointed, I finally got my hands on a pair of the Linkbud S earbuds. Not only are they the most comfortable earbuds I have ever worn, but they have amazing sound quality and fit so securely in my ear. Another thing I struggled with was size of the earbud, but since these are so small and light weight, they fit like a dream. I definitely will be keeping this pair!

Bluetooth interference

Doesnt work

Well the case doesn’t work anymore like I didn’t break it or anything like that, but I just came home and I took my earbuds out of my pocket and when I hook it up to the charger it didn’t charge anymore. I cleaned it. I cleaned the air tips. I cleaned the charger. I don’t know what went wrong. I regret buying these wasted good money, but it stays in your ear with the right ear to, but I’m afraid to buy another one if this is going to happen again if I buy the same brand and the same earbuds

If you feel the size of the earbud tips does not fit to your ears and keeps falling down, change the earbud tips. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The size of the left and right earbud tips may be different. Hope this helps!

Batteries Stop Working Over a Couple of Months

Around April 2024, the batteries stop working properly. I would charge it for an hour but one of the buds would be on 70% and the other 100%. However, the batteries would only last 5 minutes. They were good in the beginning, batteries would last two days, sound is great, controls were easy to use. But over time the batteries got worst and worst. Now, they won't charge properly and it's not worth it to use it. I don't know if I got a defected one or it's just a common thing with Sony. I'm debating to buy a new one, fixing it, or get a different brand
