Thank you for your review, and we are really sorry for your disappointment. It is unfortunate that you've encountered an issue with your LinkBuds and that it had to be returned and exchanged for a different unit. This definitely not the experience we wanted you to have. For volume that adjust automatically according to ambient sounds, this can be fixed by turning off the Adaptive Volume Control feature of these LinkBuds from the Sony | Headphones Connect app. ref: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/hpc/v1/en/contents/TP1000669460.html?search=adaptive%20volume%20control

And for the charging issue, some of these problems can be fixed by following the troubleshooting steps on this article:

That is where your eardrums work hard to manage the volume that flows through your ear canal. The louder the volume, the bigger the strain on your eardrums, which then causes the feeling of fatigue.
Note: Try lowering the volume or take a break from wearing them for a while.
